The decision to go for it on 4th and 1 was the right call, the play call wasn't

The Saints had all the momentum and none of the creativity to pull that drive off and win the game. Clint lost this game more than anyone else.

in my opinion, you take the points when the other team has not put any on the board.

hopefully it wasn't some nerdy analytical decision.

If you have McCoy and Taysom, sure - go for the W.

Otherwise it was a stupid decision and playcall.

I thought Kamara gained positive yardage. I thought it was a bad spot. And it was right in front of me.

I got to say, I'm always in favor of the more aggressive approach even if it doesn't work out sometimes.

There was a ton of criticism for Dennis' conservative approach last year. Can't have it both ways. The actual play call, def deserves to be crushed.

I thought they lost it on the 3rd down call when we sprinted Carr out and did a direct snap to Kamara for no gain. When your O-line is getting crushed in the run game, the direct snap has a pretty small chance of working with a smaller back. I'd have been OK with Taysom, but that was not a great call in that circumstance.

I'm tired of being Philly's farm team.

We need to replace Moreau in the draft

I have two competing thoughts on the 4th and 1.

1. It's a close tough game for both offenses. Take the 3 so that if Phi does score a TD, you just need a fg to retake the lead.

2. If your offense can't get 1 yard, you have no reason to win the game.

Yea. Really weird call there. Wouldn’t have minded taking a PA shot if we were in 4 down territory mode.

Yeah, that was a head scratcher.

Eagles were stopping that play all day....

Run it outside....

It was a terrible spot, and I can't believe they didn't review it...

Taysom Hill makes that first and a few others. Him being out was the difference in this game.

I agree the call to go for it was correct. I think going up 10-0 ends the game. At the end of the day, you have to look at your offense and say you deserve to lose if you cannot put up 100 yards of yards and score 10 points while your defense forces a pick, fumble, TOD, and blocked punt. THe offense clearly lost the game.

Exactly. If those two were healthy we wouldn’t even be talking about this because the Saints win by at least 3 scores. However, players will get hurt and a gameplan should be in place if that happens. Even with those two out the defense handed the offense a win. A great team with a couple injured players on the offensive side finds a way to win after the defense gives you an interception, fumble recovery, TWO turnovers in downs, and a blocked punt.

I can see the argument both ways to kick or go for it, I am not so much hung up on that. The play they ran was completely wrong in my opinion. You have Carr in the shotgun and you motion him out wide and direct snap to Alvin? Bad Bad move. You are totally telegraphing what you are going to do to the defense. They know Alvin likely isn't throwing and you certainly aren't throwing to Carr.
