Agreed! If you are not high risk and are not overly concerned with contracting COVID, or bringing it home, then you should be able to live your life. Unfortunately, Destroya & JBE get to decide what's in our best interests for the greater good.

I would have no apprehension going to a packed Superdome or Tiger Stadium right know. I’m over 60 and I believe this is all absurd.

The problem with that is you can have COVID and be contagious, and still test negative early in the process.

How about the country just open up and let people decide for themselves if they want to risk going to a game? Just a thought.

MIT Medical article
quote:

While the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other public-health authorities put the incubation period for the virus at 2–14 days, most people who become ill develop symptoms between five and six days after exposure. This is about the same amount of time needed, on average, for a PCR diagnostic test to be more likely than not to return a true-positive result.
So you can be contagious as early as 2 days after infection, but it may take up to 5 days to return a positive test.

Medical Express Article
quote:

A negative test within less than seven days after exposure "is a very, very poor indicator of whether you have virus on board," said Dr. Alan Wells of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

This article & Dr. say it could take up to 7 days to return a positive test, and verify that you can be contagious within 2 days of infection.

People should not live their life in fear of potentially contracting COVID, but "the experts" out there confirm that you are able to spread the virus before you have symptoms and before you would test positive.

Back in the summer the WHO came out and said asymptomatic transmission was extremely rare (less than 1/10,000 is what they classify as extremely rare). That's basically saying it's not a factor. 2 major studies came out in the last month showing that there wasn't one, not one, case of transmission from an asymptomatic patient in either study. One of those studies looked at over 10 million people. In the history of medicine respiratory viruses have never been found to trasmit from asymptomatic carriers. It's the nature of the damn disease. So again, I say...nope.

Aren’t the Saints and Pelicans like one of the very few teams to allow fans?

And they back tracked that statement/article to clarify that the majority of the spread was not coming from asymptomatic cases. They further clarified that pre-symptomatic spread is still a concern. They also back tracked on the "extremely rare" stance and downgraded it to rare.

Furthermore, this was back in June, so no telling what their stance is now. They have changed their stance on a number of topics relating to COVID as often as Fauci.

Either way, this is a moot point considering Destroya & JBE's stance is they know what's best for us and don't care about our rights if it would save one person from dying with COVID.

Do you guys really believe the Bill Gates funded CDC and the WHO have ur best interests at heart. Let’s test for TB now when u go to any event. It’s 10x more deadly and very infectious.

Around 40,000 healthcare workers received their second vaccine shot this week, and numbers growing each week hereafter. Why not let them pack the stadium? If the vaccine is as effective as stated none of them should be in harms way or cause any danger to the workers who aren’t vaccinated yet...
