OC: ???

It has been reported that Doug Nussmeier would be the OC, yes that is Garret's dad.

What does being a HC have to do with evaluating personnel?

Moore will probably build the offense and defend defensive decisions to someone else, while still having final say

What? He was a dc for one year only, and that one year they were the best in the league. There is no outlier lol

If he had multiple years as a dc you might have an argument. But the one year he was in charge of a defense, they were the best. So no, you dont have an argument.

He ran the D as HC for the Chargers

Hell, he started having legit meltdowns in media sessions up to the point where he was fired, based on people questioning his defensive playcalling as HC.

Nussmier has been with Moore the last five seasons as QB coach, with three different teams. Would be shocked if he wasn’t OC

What about a guy like Matt Patricia as DC?

I don’t think him being 38 should matter. How old is Mickey? You want his dumb arse making these decisions still? We need new blood and fresh perspectives. I’ll take a shot on a young 38 year old, if it doesn’t work out we will have successfully tanked for the next regime. If it works then we will be happy it did.

Age is not a problem for me. He knows what he's doing calling plays. He's been a coordinator now for a handful of years. If he can build a solid staff. That's all you can ask for right out of the gate.

He wasn’t the dc. He was the head coach. Way way more to worry about than just calling defensive plays. The only thing you’ve proven is that as of right now you can say he’s another Spags. Can’t handle doing both.

But it’s laughable yiu calling him a fraud when you have absolutely zero proof or stats to back up the assessment.

Actually it’s quite the opposite of your assessment

Staley was a big analytics guy there for a while.

I feel like if you can meet in the middle somewhere between a gut feeling and analytics that's the way to go.

In an ideal world, no. In a world where the other choice is Mickey Loomis having that say, yes, I’d rather Moore have that power. Loomis sucks.

No denies he’s smart but he’s had a very strange career and I just don’t know how I feel about him as a DC.

I’m down for whomever Moore wants. I’d bet he goes another direction.
