It'd be nice to have another Drew at QB. Dude's got an arm and might ball out with a change of scenery. Won't cost much to get him either.

Can we get Billy Joe Hobert and Billy Joe Tolliver to come out of retirement? That would be pretty cool too.

Kicking woes cost us the Tennessee and first Atlanta games. A healthy Lutz gets us to 11-6 and in the playoffs.

Miami is a win without the Covid outbreak. 12-5.

We get MT13 back. That should inprove the team.

I'd rather have Teddy B. back who beat Lock out for the starting spot.

Best option is offer nice 3 yr deal to Winston. Use picks to build around him.

Didn't care for his chuck the ball down the field while falling down stuff even this past year. I'm not sure why we keep acting like Winston is the answer. He's mediocre. I know if our defense holds together all we need is mediocre at the QB spot but his contract better be incentives laden.

Because quite frankly there isnt many viable options for us other than Winston.

For all the stuff people bitched about with Winston he did show he is capable of learning. There were plenty of times where he made the smart play rather than a dumb throw.

Yes, not sure when we'll get another elite QB like Brees in his prime. If Winston doesn't get injured the Saints likely win the division. We were too banged up everywhere else to go very far but if we get everyone back healthy, Winston is good enough to take the team deep into the playoffs. The other parts are key.

If the Saints don't get R. Wilson or A. Rodgers, I hope they develop a good young guy to replace Winston in 3 years. It just doesn't seem like that happens very often and never for the Saints.

Because he’s the best option out there. It’s been said a lot that at this time none of the QBs in this draft are really standing out as QBs to build around. He’s the best FA right now. Only other options will require sending major assets (draft picks and/or quality players) to get. And if this team wants to get the cap under control, they need to hit in draft picks; which can’t happen if you trade them away.

Also, by giving him only a 3 year deal you get a QB that can manage the team while you still have a top Def; but you aren’t married to him long term so you can address the QB position in the ‘23 or ‘24 draft where there should be better prospects available.

Probably need to stop trading and draft some people who can stay healthy.

Not directed at you personally, but the quote and general consensus of the board.

Some say that about jameis but act like Taysom is the answer when jameis had more touchdown passes in 7 games last year than taysom has had in his career and let's not pretend taysom doesn't chuck up free for all deep balls and a ton more money.

Tampa tried that already. Didn't work. Dude had 2 okay games against 2 bad pass defenses last season, was garbage in the others, and people want to build around him?
