I had a similar moment with the NBA when the Suns got robbed multiple times against the Spurs. After the last time, I may have watched a grand total of 3 games in at least 5 years.

This feels like one of those. The players made the plays and the refs blew the game. Twice. Nothing can or will be done.

This was it for me. Cancelling my season tickets and wondering what I'm going to do with my time now that I don't have to travel to NOLA 8 weekends out of the year. I've had season tickets for 20 years btw. I just can't continue to subscribe to this nonsense that football has become. Missed calls are one thing, this is a complete controlled attempt by the league to affect the outcome of a game just to drum up excitement in LA about a team that has some of the slimiest ownership in the entire league.

Fools will continue to spend big money and invest large amounts of time traveling to these bullshite games.

I just record them on DVD and watch them later, if the mood strikes me. I just fast forward past the commercials.

I agree totally. It's obvious the league now puts its thumb on the scale in favor of matchups it wants. And after witnessing the abomination of a horrendous "roughing the passer" penalty thrown on the Chiefs late in the game, along with the screwjob the Saints got, the NFL has no credibility to me anymore. It's become a corrupt joke, as far as I'm concerned.

I may follow the Saints for a couple more years until Brees leaves or retires. At that point, I'm done with the NFL. The Saints will be mediocre again after Brees is gone, so there won't be anything to hold my interest in the NFL anymore.

So true. I’m done. I don’t care what names I’m called for quitting. I just don’t have the energy for this shite anymore.

Ya know my 8 yr old son has become a huge saints fan, he once told me when he was 5 he wished Brees was his dad! Hahaha every day almost he is playing with his friends pretending to be Brees

We watched every minute of the Vikings game last yr and the look on his face after the “play” broke my heart and was also priceless. He understood why and how that play happened.

Tonight was a completely different story, he had many questions as to why and how this happened. He knows the rules of football and I had to simply tell him well sometimes the refs miss calls. He is 8 and he even pointed out the two refs.

It's just frustrating as hell. I mean its been 9 years since we were at this point. Unless your a Pat's fan, how often does your team get this close to a superbowl? Who knows when we'll get back again.

I'll be back at it watching our Saints next year but dammit its an empty feeling to look back on the season from game 1 to game 16, one of the best teams in franchise history and a trip to the super bowl is robbed from you on something like this. To know that you can lock up a #1 seed, clinch a Superbowl berth and the league steals it because you're a small market team. What's the fricking point?

You tell them that sometimes things aren’t fair, but they shouldn’t change your approach in life. Keep at it, even when you get screwed.

There is no fricking point. frick the nfl. This is it for me the more I think about it. Idk how I can bounce back considering the amount of respect and confidence I lost tonight.

It’s just so obvious.!

Tell him him the truth. Tell him this is a fake sport with the appearance of aunthenticity. It’s a fake sport. The rules do not apply.

My heart was already stolen in 2011. The hole just was dug a little deeper after 2017 and this loss.

I don't care if this is a watershed moment for the NFL or not. But it is a watershed moment for my interest in the league. Lifelong Saints fan, but that's it. I stopped watching MLB after the Alomar spitting incident and the league's weak response and never went back. Now I have my falls back in addition to my summers. frick Goodell and frick the NFL. Boycott for life!

very true. it's so egregious. nfl takes away a draft pick and suspends our HC for a year, then screws us out of a freaking SUPERBOWL over the worst n0-call i've seen in my 43 years on this earth.

it really feels a step closer to WWF now, and it's hard to get over that.

I’ll still watch them. But I won’t attend a game for a while. I can’t continue to shove money into this. And I’m done watching the NFL. No fantasy for me. No Sunday ticket. I wash my hands of the league. I’ll find better shite to do, but I’ll never give up the Saints. Never.

It's like everybody's forgotten about the Saints Giants game right after 9/11.

That's probably the first time it really smacked me in the face that the NFL is rigged.

That still stands as the biggest hose job I've ever witnessed. From the opening whistle to the final, it was the most blatantly rigged game I've ever witnessed in any sport at any level.

I just cant believe it wasn't entirely intentional by the league. They've got too much of a financial interest in the Rams establishing a foothold both within LA and nationally. Its the #2 media market for the NFL...they want this team to be one of the crown jewels for the NFL. The Saints do nothing for them.
