Really surprised at how someone with his size, strength and apparent work ethic has busted so bigly

He won't be on the team next season

Missed the game and I'm watching now. Through two series. It's as bad as I could have imagined.

He obviously can't play tackle. I think he should be moved inside and evaluated very quickly as to whether he is worth keeping on the roster.

Maybe too many voices, too many suggestions, everyone giving tips and not enough just 'see guy...block guy'. Whatever it is he seems completely lost.

He's off balance at every point. The defender can get under him any time he wants.

He's like a boxer that never learned to box. You just can't pick it up. His speed, agility, and size don't come into play.

MAYBE (10%) he would do better on the inside. He's worthless.

There have to be players that will be cut from other teams that are way better than Penning.

I think he really has to earn a roster spot THIS year at this pace. Maybe we can trick a team into giving us a 5th or 6th for him based on potential

Over a thousand FA's will be released in a single day. Its like the blue light special at Kmart. For those who remember.

We should move him to DT at this point. It’s obvious he likes when people hit the QB. Maybe he can do the hitting directly on the defensive side of the football.

That draft was so bad. Overpaid for a 2nd WR and completely busted on a tackle prospect.

One of the common draft stories was how he'd watch Saw before games.

He's not exactly a rocket scientist.

I’ve said since last season, needs to move to left guard. He’s overthinking everything on the edge. Coaches know better tho….

It can’t hurt. Most Saints fans will remember Jim Dombrowski. The experiment with him did not work at tackle and they moved him inside and he became an all pro.

It’s time to make a change while you have a couple weeks before the season starts. Penning is done. Sit him, cut him, I don’t give a frick. Either get Landon Young ready to start at RT or sign someone. David Bakhtiari is still available but there’s a reason he hasn’t been signed. He either still has injury red flags or he’s only wanting to play for the Packers or maybe a contender. I would go sign Charles Leno Jr. He’s been a solid player and starter over his career. I’m not sure if he can play RT as he has played mostly LT but that might be the best thing for the team. Fuaga just screams RT to me and he could plug right in and put Leno at LT. We will still have to draft more OL so he could be a good bridge gap player until we can draft another tackle.

Doesn't need to be on the team this season, money and cap consequences be damned.

I was hoping that Sadiveri would take the LG spot and run with it but knew Penning would be a failure. He’s broken mentally. That won’t change.
