Morten Andersen was the Saints entire offense for several years.

Ricky Jackson on Defense was a nightmare for OL & QB’s.

Archie Manning from 78-80 was a great QB and probably had the best 3-year offensive run pre-Payton.

George Rogers’ rookie season was special. Looked like he was worth the #1 pick for a year.

Best single season has to be Michael Thomas in 2019 if we can't choose Brees.

2000 LaRoi Glover form is hard to pass on.

only Aaron Donald and Joe Klecko (20.5) a piece had more QB sacks in a single season for a DT in NFL History.

Donald in 2018
Klecko in 1981

that's saying something.

for the 2000 Saints the other leading guys with QB sacks were

Joe Johnson 12
Darren Howard 11

fwiw

Rickey Jackson on D and it isn’t even close. Any other answer is way way off.
1992 13.5 sacks, 6 FFs, 3 FRs.
1984 12 sacks, 4 FFs, 4 FRs, 124 TAK

Offensively, Willie Roaf was pretty damn dominant. I believe in the span of 3 years he gave up 1 sack, 1 hurry, and had one hold called against him. You can pretty much pick any year he played for the Saints, rookie year included.

you cant not choose Morten Andersen, the man was automatic like the sun rising each day from the 35 yard line

jim mora literally made a living by never trying to go any farther then the 35 and kicking field goals, reach the 35 and its 3 straight runs up the middle and then send morten out for 3 easy points

2013 Graham is a good answer if we are talking raw unstoppablilty and not just stats.

2003 Deuce couldn’t be tackled. There’s probably some older DBs still having nightmares about that season.

Wayne Martin would be talked about more had he played on good teams. He had a four year stretch there were he was a problem for opposing offenses.

Not saying he was more dominant than Thomas or Jackson, but to throw out for discussion, in 1989 Dalton Hilliard had over 1200 yards rushing, over 500 receiving, and 18 total TDs.

In 2009, Darren Sharper had 9 INTs, 376 yards off them, and 3 TDs.

Piece of shite human, damn good safety and was phenomenal for the Saints defensive backfield that season.

And it felt like alot more. Every game it seemed like he made a game changing play. I wish he was a half way decent person so we could prop it up more.

Rueben Mayes rookie season is strong for the time period.

1986 Mayes -- 1,353 rushing yards QB Wade Wilson threw for only a thousand more at 2353

2003 Deuce 1,641 rushing yards QB Brooks threw for 3,564 two thousand more

1986 attack was so one dimensional; everyone knew he was getting the ball but Mayes still got his yards.
