Very promising rookie who has played very well this season. He's made some bad decisions today but Jesus fricking christ you ppl are clueless.
Television rights are different than they used to be. AFC isn't primarily CBS and NFC isn't primarily Fox anymore.

The spine: This was a one-score fight deep into Q4. Trailed by 7 or less until 6:42 of Q3 (Cook TD, 21–10). Olave TD (:14, Q3) made it 21–16. Grupe 35-yarder (8:53, Q4) cut it to 21–19 — a single field goal wins it there. It didn’t tilt for good until 7:07 of Q4 (Allen 27-yd scramble, Kincaid 28-yd TD, 28–19). Late FG at 2:09 set 31–19.
Identity (finally): Under-center/pistol, 189 rush yds on 34 carries (5.6).

3rd-and-8 stop erased by a post-play personal foul on Bresee - drive lives - TD.
4th-and-1 tush-push - false start.
Punt - 95-yard return TD.
Next series: five penalties in seven snaps - blocked punt - short-field TD.
Add a 60-yard kick return and an offside on a FG block (Seattle made the retry).
Halftime: 38–6 (worst since 2005). Seattle scored on every first-half drive and reached 41 before needing a third-down conversion.
Numbers that tell the story:
Penalties: 13 flags (11 accepted, 77 yds).

Appreciate the thoughtful feedback. I introduced the Stock Watch in my third training camp article and really liked it so I’m glad it resonated. I’ll look at separating it into offense/defense/special teams to make it easier to digest. I’m slowly carving out more time for the Facebook page and website and plan to add in-depth tape breakdowns soon, plus short pre- and postgame videos. Just building it all up slowly since it's just a hobby for now. Thanks for reading and keeping me sharp. Who Dat.

Competitive, not clean — again. The Saints fell 26–21 to SF, but the tape shows real progress and the same fatal flaw.
What stood out
Rattler’s best game as a pro: 25/34, 207, 3 TD, 118.1 with 14 straight completions. Operated the offense, used his legs on key 3rds… but missed a wide-open Olave early (ball behind) that likely flips the script.
Kamara = heartbeat: 21 for 99 (4.7) + 6 for 21. Keep leaning on AK and get Kendre Miller more touches.
Money downs lost: 49ers went 8/15 on 3rd, including multiple 3rd-and-longs and two via penalty. That’s the game.
Pass rush has juice: Carl Granderson 2.0 sacks, Rumph strip-sack. Rookie Kelvin Banks held his own vs Bosa in Game 2.
Secondary decisions coming: Isaac Yiadom struggled/flagged; protect the 2026 comp pick and get Quincy Riley reps if it continues. Jonas Sanker (8 tackles) looked ready in Blackmon’s place.
ST + Ops: Blake Grupe missed from 40; a “pooch” punt netted 21. Fewer penalties (7 for 45), but ill-timed. Footing issues popped up again.
Bottom line: The identity’s forming (QB growth, AK usage, front-seven punch). Flip third down and these “close” losses become wins.
What’s next (at SEA): Darnold + play-action are back, JSN/Kupp are volume movers, and Kenneth Walker punishes edges late. Win 3rd down on both sides and clean the operation.

He's averaging 5 yards a carry, you idiot.
We definitely have to get the running game going. A young quarterback benefits tremendously from a strong running game and I think we have two guys in Kamara and (healthy) Kendre that can get the job done.
I think part of the reason we abandoned the run was because of pre snap penalties putting us in a hole early on, causing us to need to throw the ball on early downs.
I guess to find out if that's the case we will have to clean up the pre snap penalties.
Maybe next week will give us a better insight.

Sloppy mistakes defined Kellen Moore’s debut — 13 penalties, red-zone failures, and missed chances cost New Orleans a winnable game. But there were also real bright spots.
Spencer Rattler: 27/46, 214 yds, no turnovers. Poised in late drives but couldn’t finish in the red zone.
Cam Jordan: 1.5 sacks, now tied for 20th all-time (123). Vintage performance.
Alvin Kamara: 18-yard TD = the Saints’ 1,000th Superdome touchdown. Still looked like AK — and needs more touches.
Kendre Miller: Burst and vision in limited work. Should be featured more.
Kai Kroeger: Breakout debut — 50.5 average, pinned 2 inside the 20.
Bryan Bresee: Blocked field goal kept it close.
Julian Blackmon: Devastating news — shoulder injury likely ends his season.

I'm flying down from Denver for the game. I'm excited. Do I expect the Saints to be a very good team? No. Am I ready for Saints football? Absolutely.
Well you're gonna be pissed in the next few days.....
Don't forget that he was a 2nd round reach that is also older than the previous year 5th rounder..
We watch the same last drive? Shough throwing it 3 yards behind Tipton who had a step and then sailing It way over a WR's head on third down. Neither quarterback has played above average. Both have been on the lower end of average.
I’m encouraged by what I’ve seen from Banks, Sanker, and Stutsman. While others from this draft class have had moments, those three have been the most consistent thus far. Here’s hoping this becomes one of our stronger draft classes in recent memory.

Spencer Rattler turned a quiet Week 1 into a statement Week 2, engineering a 9-play, 82-yard drive and the 2-point run to tie it. Mason Tipton starred again, Jonas Sanker closed the night, and even with the QB battle headlining camp, the OL is the biggest August concern.

Here’s what we learned from the Saints’ preseason opener.
QB Battle – Tyler Shough bounced back from a pick-six with a 54-yard TD to Mason Tipton, while Spencer Rattler moved well but couldn’t finish drives. The order could flip next week vs. Jacksonville.
Mason Tipton – Carried his camp dominance into the game with that 54-yard score.
Velus Jones Jr. – HAS WHEELS. He's dangerous on returns (73 yds on 2 attempts) but must prove he can impact at WR.
Torricelli Simpkins – Played 64 snaps after Clapp’s injury. Could be a roster lock, especially if Clapp’s out long-term.
Defensive standouts – Sacks from Khristian Boyd, Fadil Diggs, and Chris Rumph. Boyd nearly had a safety.
Injuries – Penning, Clapp, Bub Means, and Pline all left the game.
It’s preseason — vanilla schemes, new systems, and missing starters. The real Saints will take shape in the coming weeks.
