On NFL Live Keyshawn saying things like his career going forward isn't looking too great with these lingering injuries.

On what planet does a dislocated toe force someone to not play a sport for four months? One of two things going on here: he was misdiagnosed(like delvin breaux) or he doesn't want to play anymore. Either way, this is an organizational issue. Thomas and Ochsner shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the Saints facility.

Time to package his arse in the draft. Trade him for a 2nd and a 3rd. Time to cut bait. Also trade pets arse he can't stay healthy either and ruin is finally looking good at guard. As much as I love cam if he won't negotiate his contract trade him too. We need draft capital.

Does he still get his full pay while he's out?

Thomas will not be traded. No team wants him or his salary. Would you want a some twatwaffle that has played a handful of games over the past three years? It's not like he's going to all of a sudden be the next cal ripken of football.

Just a friendly reminder that the best ability is availability and I more or less called this in the off-season.
One day he’s going to be in his 60’s, filthy rich, and still be able to walk without a cane. He knows what he’s doing.

It’s not a problem. Why would we want our best receiver playing through injury? To further that injury?
I’m not going to work either if I don’t feel 100%
You're wasting your time.

He dislocated his toe guys. No way he can play through such a gruesome injury!

The same one that ended Dion Sanders career.

How many more years until we can move on from him?
Posted on 11/3/22 at 3:25 pm to Redzone762
Just a friendly reminder he put off his off-season surgery causing him to miss 6 weeks of the regular season….then right before coming back he caught Covid causing him to miss more weeks….then right before coming back he reaggravated another injury causing him to miss the rest of the season.
This was Last year.

I’m sure the last thing he wanted was to get injured and not play for another year.
Yeah, I’m sure.

Deion Sanders had turf toe at the end of his career, which is an injury to the ligament in the toe. He later had femoral blood clots. Thomas was diagnosed as having turf toe and now we learn he had a dislocated toe. Two totally different injuries.

You’re not going to get a 2 & 3 for MT. He’s a depreciating asset.

Right, because your toes have no bearing on a game involving running and such.

I'm not gonna jump on the bandwagon and put the blame on him. I really don't care who the blame falls on. Just solve it. You can't have one of your highest paid players not playing. Trade him. Period.

Doing almost anything with him next offseason is no-go, unless we do a trade after June 1. That would give us about $16M of cap space ($12M dead), but that's virtually useless that far into the offseason. In 2024 we could designate him as a post June-1 cut and it would be a little bit better.
More realistically we will just hold onto him until his contract expires (after 2024 season) as it would not be cost effective to cut or trade him before that

Just after the trade deadline too.
