haven't hated a saints player more than this guy
This kind of makes you seem like a piece of shite. I can understand being frustrated that he can’t get healthy, but the dude has been excellent as a Saints player. There’s nothing about him that deserves any hate.

I do not understand the child like thought process of so many concerning MT. He missed one game in his 1st three seasons. He was PAID at the end of the 3rd season (new contract). After being PAID he then went on to set the single season record for receptions. Made 1st team All-Pro and NFL Offensive Player of the year after getting PAID. Then his injuries woes begin. Yes he fricked up and made the bad decision to rehab and try to avoid surgery and yes he has played in a total of 10 games in 3 seasons but their have been countless MRI's and examinations and I am sure something would have surfaced with endless scrutiny of his injuries and not one iota of evidence, not one peep from the media, no reports of any sort of inner conflict concerning team officials or teammates that Thomas is goldbricking. It would be career suicide for him to have missed so many games in his prime earning years and now going forward to be seen as a slow healer, injury prone or goldbricking. I get the frustration at him avoiding surgery for rehab and I am not a fan of his politics but there is no evidence of him playing the system. We are simply snake bitten where he is concerned.

No, but his injuries take a long time to come back from, and it looks like it doesn't take much to injure him.
I may be wrong,it might be a fluke, but if I had to bet money I'd bet it on my original statement.

I drank the pre season kool aid and drafted him in the 2nd round of my fantasy league. I should have known better.

Lol wat
He treated the greatest player in franchise history and the guy who made his fricking career like utter dogshit for pretty much nothing, because he is a mental midget.
He refused to get surgery when the Saints told him and instead opted to rehab, ghosted the Saints for months, and then had surgery just before the season started causing him to miss the entire season. Sean Payton was furious with him.
frick this guy.

Not sure about that anymore.
frick you and your dumbass opinion. He wouldn't be elite if he didn't want to compete. Hell game 1 back he was.
So fricking tired of the Mike hate. Yeah he fricked up his first ankle injury and this is just bad fricking luck.

I’ve never been more disappointed in a player who I thought was on track for a hall of fame career. As far as I’m concerned I’m just going to pretend he isn’t on the team anymore and move on. Saints should be using their 2nd rounder on a receiver because they need to build around Olave now.

At what point do we stop trusting Saints medical staff? JFC

If the Saints were to release/trade Thomas in the offseason, they would save $2.8 million against the cap and have a $25.4 million in dead money. If he were a post- June 1 cut, they would save $16.45 million against the 2023 cap, and have $11.8 million in dead money that year.
Option 2 sounds good to me

Regardless about what anyone thinks of MT...I think everyone can agree that we need some new team doctors.
These guys seriously suck arse at their job. It's beyond pathetic.

Adding this to your Jameis melt? Nice.

We need to trade him amd eat the dead money. He's not playing anyway, so it's already dead money. We might as well get something out of it.

Nah, you stop.
I’ve given MT the benefit of the doubt on here but enough is enough.
He chose to have surgery late in the off-season. And now he’s out on IR with some… toe thing?
Not buying it. He can frick off.

Why would we want our best receiver playing through injury? To further that injury?
Plenty of players are playing through injury. It’s called trying to win your division and earn your contract money.

The fricking minute a WR starts chirping about money, trade the bitch then and there.
Damn. It's like everybody who follows the team could see this coming from a mile way except the front office. Go figure.
