I take it you missed the part that he will most likely need surgery. Usually, once it is determined a player needs surgery (especially a foot/toe), they are rarely getting to a percentage that will make them be able to play. Then add in the 2020 shite show where the team gave him the green light to play through the injury, which made things worse

Absolutely stuck with this guy. I wish there were provisions about this when it comes to potential cap hits. I realize it doesn't work that way. This blows.

Not to defend this, but we don't know when surgery was recommended. As far as we know, the team could have pushed the rehab first to avoid the surgery. Also, I would question any decision/recommendation from the team's medical staff too. IMO, this is not the issue; his not being forthcoming when the first rehab stint for the knee wasn't going well was the issue.

Diagnosed or speculated? I only saw speculations of turf toe as the team has been very quiet about the actual diagnosis and at one point just said a foot injury
