The saints have ran 321 plays tied or in the lead.
They’ve ran 352 plays while trailing.
He has just not been much of a factor outside of catching garbage time passes. Though he was good yesterday.

Forget the olave portion of your last post, the number of snaps winning/tied in relation to losing is kinda encouraging. Perhaps this thing isn't so bad after all when you consider all the injuries

i think some of your points and sentiments on olave are solid but he has essentially played as our No.1 WR with not much help around him most of the year. We just got Jarvis back. I wouldn't call it garbage yards when he's the focal WR 1 on the team without MT. I do have concerns about his physical stature and ability to take and withstand hits.

Olave is good. Perhaps we overpaid, but he's still good. His stats back that up, and so does his pff rating of 83.2.

It's easily refutable with common sense. The Saints average scoring margin this season is -1.6. You act as if the Saints have been in a ton of blowouts this season, which that stat shows isn't the case. Not to mention all three of Olave's TD's came this season when the game was within a score.

I mean we have been chirping that about MT even back when he put up those insane stats in 2019. Hell, this comment has been made since Payton became HC. No matter how good/elite your WR1 is, you still need another top WR for them to play off of. Not really groundbreaking news.
As many "meaningless yards" as he's put up, those stats are meaningless without context. Saints kickoff to start the game, other team goes down and scores on first possession, every play on Saints 1st possession would occur while the team is trailing.
Edit: And since it's easier to just track TDs, I looked at his 3 TDs. 1 with the lead (yesterday) and 2 while trailing. Caught a TD while down 7-0 in the 2nd quarter against the Vikings, and a TD in the 3rd quarter while down 19-17 against Seattle. Stats need context

Looks to me like one of those stats that is misleading at best. Miami has come back to win in several games, so those are actually VERY meaningful yards.

Never said blowouts, but they have thrown the ball a ton trailing in games attempting to come back. Just because you don’t like the star does not mean it’s wrong.

That game was never really close, and it wasn’t exactly a “blowout” either by definition
