I have a really tough time believing Sean Payton "loved" Lamar Jackson. How could you go from one of the most cerebral QBs of all time to an 8 on the Wonderlic.

When Cam was playing earlier this season his arm looked awful
This. Cam is broken down physically from all the years of running like a running back & the hits in the pocket playing behind a piss poor offensive line. He is breaking down like a power back who has hit the age of 30.

I would burn my Saints jerseys and actively root against New Orleans if Cam played
if your hatred of a football player is greater than your love of your favorite team, you may have issues taking a game a tad too seriously.

Don’t hold back, Bob, tell us how you really feel.

You set up a system for him that's how.
Just like he does with the 3 qbs currently on the roster

Please no, I hope to God that we don’t consider bringing Cam here. That guy is extremely weak mentally. No character and no resolve whatsoever. He’s physically gifted, but way too fragile mentally. He folds like a lawn chair as soon as adversity hits. Plus... he’s a freaking circus show clown. Hard pass fellas.

frick Cam Newton. If the Saints sign him, I'll turn in my fan card until he's gone.

With Tua, there's lots of talk that he's a one read QB. Playing with 3 WR that will go in the 1st round and a monster O-Line, he's going to get exposed in the NFL.
That’s a laughable take.
I’d be pumped if Tua fell to the Saints. Sit behind Drew Brees for a year or two and let CSP ingrain him in this offense? And you get a high character guy that’s probably going to instantly mesh with that QB room?
People won’t take off the P&G glasses long enough to realize just how good Tua was last year when he was healthy. He should’ve won the Heisman.

So another Matt Leinart

We already have a Cam, and he's a reasonably capable football player. Why would we want a broken-down pretender Cam?
Posted on 12/4/19 at 7:20 am to sicboy
frick this. We don’t need an oft injured, inaccurate, diva of a qb

Personally, I don't think Newton would be a good fit here. He's like Teddy 2 Gloves...just much dumber, more emotional, less accurate, but a stronger arm (affected by his injury). They both had career altering injures, but Bridgewater can mask his a lot better.
Those two are nothing like each other.
Bridgewater is a 6'2" 215lbs cerebral game manager with a decent arm, can read the entire field, and protects the ball. Downside is you won't get a lot of big splash plays out of him, but he won't lose games for you.
Cam is a 6'5" 245 lbs freak athlete with a cannon for an arm, below average decision maker, erratic thrower at times, but he can make game changing highlight reel plays. Might score the game winning TD or be the reason you lost.
