Your wrong, the arm must go forward for it to be a pass. His arm coming up is not apart of the throwing motion FORWARD. His arm never went FORWARD while having possession of the ball. Wrong call.

The ball went backwards. Even if if arm was going forward. It was a backwards lateral.

"Upon review, he intended to throw a touchdown pass, therefore please add 6 points to the scoreboard for the Lions"

The no call PI in NFC championship or a pass that went 20 yards backward that was reviewed to be a forward pass. Which is more blatant evidence of the league being rigged?

Okay, then it's intentional grounding. Because he threw a pass and there was no receiver in the area.

He intended to throw it forward is the reason it’s not a backwards pass?

The nfl really does hate the saints. They are inventing new rules on the fly to screw them. A backwards pass is a backwards pass. Such bullshite.

Of course it was his intent to throw it. But when the defensive play alters his action, that’s the difference maker.
Absolutely bullshite

So next time we get a penalty called on us we can say "I didn't intend to go offsides" "I didn't intend to hit the QB in the head"

I guarantee we will get a letter from the NFL saying it’s the wrong call

While many on here disagree, the intent to throe started before the ball left his hand. The backwards throw is irrelevant at that point

Insane take. The ball went backwards, it's a fumble.

Should they overturn interceptions? It wasn't the QB's intent.

Should they overturn fumbles? It wasn't the running back's intent to fumble.

frick it, drops are now completions. The receiver's intention was to catch the ball.

The right call would’ve been for your dad to pull out.

I’m had INTENT to have sex with Megan Fox but couldn’t pull it off. Same with that attempted pass from Goff he fumbled before the arm went forward. Clear fumble

So every sack fumble is an incomplete pass by that standard.
