Sure, BPA, BPA, BPA - and I trust Sean and Ireland. But... LB seems like such an obvious short-term and long-term need, and the value is there if one or both of those guys make it to 24. At this point I’d take either one over any WR likely to be there, even my boy JJetts.

Justin Jefferson will be a star in the league. If he’s there we should take him if not then Murray or Queen.

I’m all for getting WR in first with Emmanuel Sanders and MT. Would be best core of receivers we have had in a long time and that doesn’t even include what cook can do in his second season here.

Alright i gotta ask....what has queen done to make you think hed be a first round pick?

Other than play for lsu and have a great combine?

Dude was very very average had a couple of good games on national tv.

Murray I love but feel like we need a sam not a mike., but queen has bust written all over him

With Sanders only signing a 2 year contract, I would not be opposed to a receiver like JJets, but I also want to fix the Lb issue. I think Queen will be a playmaker in this league. L

Plus I believe Tre’quan makes the jump this year!

With the Sanders signing, doubt we go WR in the first, so LB would make sense. Guessing Murray is long gone by the 24th pick & a very slim chance Queen slips that low. So down Baun or Davidson & neither is first round talent imo. Delpit could slip, but the Jenkins signing kills that. Could end up with a CB like Diggs from AL or Terrel from Clemson. If Herbert should slip, it is a no brainer.

This is what makes the draft so much fun. With no sports, they may drag this one out with one round a day. Ha ! Know what I would be watching for a week.

Almost every mock draft has Queen going in the second half of round one. And many have him going before the Saints pick.
Not saying they are right, but Queen in the first is not absurd, according to the “experts”.

Patrick Queen is not a first round guy based on the film. He's just not. If he goes at 24 it's because we are selecting based on what he could be. To narrow the pick to these 2 guys is silly and not how the Saints will handle themselves.

I've made this list many times and will leave it here again:
McCoy
Davenport
Lattimore
Ram
Rankins
Peat
Anthony
Cooks
Vaccarro

With the exception of Rankins-- No one can say they say any of these picks coming. If there's one thing we know about the Saints in this draft it's that we don't know anything at all.

Just dont see it...I know hes getting mocked in first, but it seems like combine workouts get more love than game tape...we'll see.

Gotta admit, never saw debo being THAT good of an nfl player. Great for him, hate that it was in atl.

Like the OP says though, trust in Ireland.

These are mock drafts, not the "experts" opinion on the quality of player. It's their educated guess on what teams may think of the player. Sometimes they think teams might reach for a player that isn't necessarily as good as the pick they might be taken at.

Don’t ask me, ask Mel, or McShay, or Daniel Jeremiah, or every freakin’ draft expert that exists. Have you looked at ALL the mock drafts out there bro? The reflexive defensiveness against LSU players from some of you is getting weird.

Easy brotha....I know where he's being mocked. Not calling you out for going off of that, just dont agree with his ranking.

Do agree we need to draft an LB, but we're reaching at 24 for anyone but Murray and hes a mike which we have.

Unless we convert him to sam but that usually doesnt work so well. See: our last 1st round LB.

He came around and played at a high level in the second half of the season. He has elite athleticism and all the tools to be a star but is still a little raw. I have read articles where he has been described as the best player on a defense that also consists of other fist rounders such as Delpit, Chiasson, and Fulton.

Maybe, maybe not. Similar size and skill set. Queen was pretty average at best all year but phenomenal in the post season. Debo was really good most of the year. And Debo was a mid-2nd round selection. Although a lot of mocks have Queen going in the first round.

As far as production, Murray’s career dwarfs Queen. Murray is bigger, but still super athletic.

Both are a gamble, but I’d trust the coaching staff to make the right pick.

Queen had like two or three good games all year. I think he's a risky first round pick. Murray all day.

If both are available, I’m taking Murray for exactly these reasons.

Almost like queen played behind the 5th overall pick for two seasons

Queen kept taking steps forward this past season. He showed encouraging progression when he finally got the chance
