Except we are returning the same OL that played very well most of the season (except for crumbling in the playoffs)

You know Peat is the reason that Brees was injured, right? And Peat, Armstead and Warford all missed games with injuries last year.

You made this comment after watching queen's film or did you just make a post out of shear ignorance? Either way you have no idea what the hell you are talking about.

The coaches don’t even vote for the most part, it’s well known SIDs vote on those teams

I think players will get over drafted. It seems like this year is deep with a lot of talent but only about 12-15 true first round draft picks. With Simmons being the only LB.

You know that the guy who got through Peat will go down as one of the best DT’s in NFL history right? It was a fluke injury, and pretty stupid to try and pin it on Peat no matter how you may feel about his ability, performance, and contract...

I also wouldn’t be surprised if we have multiple 1st round picks. If this is really Brees’ last year I could see them trading back into the late picks maybe to get a WR.

Murray- Better size, more tape, more violent when he hits you and more instinctive

Queen- Better speed. Will put on weight. has a clear comp (Debo Jones).

It's your classic higher ceiling vs higher floor debate. Sample size on Queen is small but it's because he was behind Devin White. Truth is the saints likely won't pick either of them

Blows my mind that I see people holding that play against Peat. Absolute idiocy.

I mean it was Peat’s fault. There is no denying that. Peat got beat and Brees hit his hand on Donald’s helmet. As a guard you should not allow that much penetration and allow a defender that close to your qb. Now with that being said it is football and you are going to lose some and it was Donald who is the best defensive tackle in the league. It happens but Peat absolutely got beat

He hit Donald’s hand, not his helmet. Donald was an arm’s length away from brees, he just made a last minute lunge and their hands hit. The play was going to be a huge gain to Cook too.

That’s a freak injury. Peat getting beat does not mean it’s his fault Brees hurt his thumb. Brees has made that throw 1000 times with a defender bearing down on

If it’s anyone’s fault it’s the coaches for doubling McCoy on brockers and not Donald, especially on a pass down

You right it was his hand. I had to watch it again. However, Peat actually got beat worse than I remember so yeah that was really bad on his part. It is amazing that Brees was even able to get the ball off at all. The protection had to be slid towards Brockers due to the linebacker walking up. However, They could have cleaned that up if they would have put Murray in motion bc he was manned up on him.

Baun is better than murray imo. Can rush the passer and drop back. Don’t know why we aren’t talking about him more

I don't think people are talking about him because he doesn't have as much experience dropping back and is undersized for an every down pass rusher. Baun is athletic enough to hopefully do it all.

Braun is more of a versatile edge player that can do other things. If we ran a 3-4 I would be really high on him but he doesn’t really fit our scheme. You can argue that he could possibly play as a 4-3 linebacker but that is very risky and probably not using him at his full potential.

From what I’ve read Braun projects more as a LB in an even front that a 3-4 edge guy. Lot of scouts don’t think he has the size to hold up to that

Allen mixes coverages and fronts enough and likes the versatility from his LB corps. To say he runs a 4-3 or 3-4 would be disingenuous to his scheme. Even the stuff he does with the safeties and DL.

We just saw them kick the tires a bit on a Jamie Collins. Can stand up and rush the QB, or drop into coverage. A versatile guy makes more sense than a guy like Murray imo. He could do more stuff with Baun or queen
