Yards - 305(5th)
Yard/Att. - 9.2(2nd)
Compl % - 69.7(8th)
TDs - 1(11th), likely could be top 10 if not for the PI no call.
Rating - 96.2(10th)
1st Downs - 12(7th)
1st down % - 36.4(6th)
20+ yrd plays - 5(2nd)
40+ yrd plays - 2(1st)
Long - 45yrd(4th)

Statistically, one of the top qbs in the NFL this week, top 2 in the NFC, and the only QB in the NFC South. I'll take it.

did that with a stale run game that wasn't helping out.

I know Tennessee is tough to run on but he got hit a lot and kept at it.

Well done Sir.

OLine needs to get better or he'll get injured soon.

Lol Ole Mora never would have had two plays over 40 yards in a single game. It was more like three yards and a cloud of dust lol

People forget how good the Saints were under Jim Mora

No we don’t. I think older saints fans think it was more than it was. Great defense, mediocre offense, one division title and 0-4 in playoffs.

All things considered he wasn't bad. Made some mistakes on the pick and dropping back too deep at times but those can be corrected with more familiarity. Oline and play calling have to be better. Hopefully Kamara can alleviate some of these problems.

I’m not even sure if we win that game with a prime Drew Brees.

Carr’s mobility was key in extending some plays.

Saints won 12 games twice during their that era, and finished second in the division each time to a 13 win and 14 win San Fran team.

The dome patrol was a roughly 6 year period, and San Fran won 14 twice and 13 twice during that span.

Older saints fans also remember the team was banging its head against one of the best teams to ever play. Unfortunate the those saints overlapped with peak Montana and Young

Im not dismissing that it was a great team but facts are they were winless in playoffs. Lot of those playoff games werent against niners some of im right were against falcons, eagles, etc. Thats like saying oh man sean payton saints were great but we had tom brady in our division last 2 years. I get it but there are great players and teams in every generation. What makes those players/teams great is they win when it counts unfortunately the saints in the 90s didn’t. They couldn’t beat those teams and couldn’t advance in the playoffs. Thats not diss, thats just facts.

Classic Titans game.

I’d like to know how often 16-15 scores happen in the NFL.

And a left tackle that seemed to have a vendetta against him. xD

dropping back too deep
Drop backs are dictated by the play called. Unless he "scrambled" back after the set drop, that's on the oline not setting correctly, and one main offender that wasn't setting his depth correctly.

I take it you were not very old during the Mora years?

What matters in football is making plays when it counts. The Saints made more plays yesterday when it counted than the Titians and Derek Carr was a facilitator of the most important plays.
