Saints went from 22nd ranked offense in 2022 to 9th with Carr this past year

Raiders went from 13th with Carr in 2022 to 27th without him

Easiest schedule in the league effect

And I’m not close to being the biggest D Carr hater on this board

But a lot of what our offense did, was shovel some empty calories onto the stat logs, that simply ruined our draft position at the end of the season, much more than it signifies something to look forward to next season.

What about the wins effect?

With him they went 6-11 in 22-23
They went 8-9 in 23-24 without him

One knock on Carr his entire career was that his stats were empty--and boy, we sure saw it first hand year.

We finished 9-8, and Carr was injured throughout the season. He was knocked out of 3 games… all losses. I believe we would have won the Green Bay game, and we would have been in the playoffs. I’m not ready to close the book on Carr just yet.

I do think that there was a big transition there with him having played for the raiders his whole career.

I mean it's one thing for us to read reports how well things were going in the off-season doing drills and whatnot but when the bullets start flying out there for real on the field during the regular season it's a whole another deal

The last two games of the season it look like things fell into place.

And no I'm not going to speculate that oh it maybe it'll roll into next year.

I think what hurt us the most this year was not playing complimentary football consistently enough.

And the TB loss coming off the injury in GB. Carr shouldn't have played... he clearly wasn't healthy.

Every top 10 team in scoring offense made the playoffs except the Saints. It’s like y’all didn’t even watch how we got points

Just peak under the hood

15th in pass yards
21st in yards per attempt
20th in pass TD%
18th in Red Zone TD%

9 wins vs teams w/ a combined 52-101 record
No playoffs playing n the worst division in sports

Scoring offense.

How can you post so much and not know the basic information about this team? Jesus.

Yes, we were a top 10 scoring offense this past season.

And again, we were 12th in dead cap. fricking wannabe Couch GM.

You mean like having the easiest strength of schedule in the league last season?

I don't use dinosaur stats like "Scoring offense". Why I had to ask.

Cool. Somewhat worthless of a state.

We were 17th in DVOA offensively.

You fail to understand very simple concepts but I'll give you another chance.

What about last year? What about this year?

The problem is we are ALWAYS towards the top of dead cap, which hamstrings us annually. Teams who cut expensive players (QBs) or have title windows will have short-term stays at the top of the dead cap list, but then they're off. We are never "off" the list, while not being anywhere close to a title team. That means we hamstring ourselves every year.

One year here or there with lots of dead cap is normal.

Having every year with massive dead cap prevents a team from building a title-contending roster.

Carr isn’t going to define a teams success like Josh Allen or Mahomes. He’s just not that guy.

So a Carr team better be strong in a few other areas like defense and running.

GB, sure

We were down 27-3 vs the Vikings when Carr got concussed and 33-21 vs the Lions when he got hurt

Two losses bc he played like arse and got outscored 65-16 combined in the 1st half of those games plus the JAX game

When he was signed, I accepted the fact it'd be 3 years.

3 things this offseason:
1. We need to build a better OL. We can't pass protect well. We can't run block well
2. Hope a new oc can be a steady presence and playcaller
3. We need an 'x' receiever. Olave and Shaheed are solid. Who knows about at perry

That means the rest of the NFC South had roughly the same schedule. What were their offensive rankings?

ETA:

Saints: 41 total offensive tds
Bucs: 36 total offensive tds
Falcons: 31 total offensive tds
Panthers: 20 total offensive tds

For fun,
Chiefs: 37 total offensive tds

What a fricking idiot.

Hey dude, how many points a team scores is a pretty important and measured stat.

Teams that score, gain yards, and defenses that dont allow scores/yards, is the basic premise of the sport.

Wow.

This year we were 12th in dead cap. Not last like you want to insist.

Next year we dont know yet. There are several contracts that will determine how that looks. Now calm your little titties and shut the frick up.
