Hey dude, how many points a team scores is a pretty important and measured stat.
But it's too influenced on things that have nothing to do with the offense. Defense and special teams influence scoring offenses severely, which takes away from the offense's influence.
Nobody worth anything uses scoring offense as a primary (or hell, even secondary) tool to judge offenses.

I'll take points. Point differential. Def. and Off..
The last 4 teams in playoffs are all top 8 in scoring off and Def points allowed.
The top half in this is where the vast majority of playoff teams came from. Strangely one team near the top of this stat didn't make the playoffs. That would be the NOS.

Carr is a loser and anyone suggesting otherwise is a loser themselves.

Boy that seems a little harsh

Some people take this way too serious.

We were down 27-3 vs the Vikings when Carr got concussed and 33-21 vs the Lions when he got hurt
Both games the defense was absolutely dog shite and let them score almost every possession at the beginning. The early int against the lions was from Juwan Johnson not catching an easy throw. Carr did look good the second half of the lions game and I think we were in at least fg range when he got hurt. Vikings game he was shite along with the entire offense.

High Scoring and positive point differential usually correlates to wins and playoffs. One must ask themselves what happened here? Oldest, most experienced team in the league vs the softest schedules, littering with bad teams with bad QBs. In a minute, you’re going to hear the rest of the story
+105 in four games vs Mac Jones, Bryce Young, Devito and Ridder
+32 in the other 5 wins
-62 in your losses
These cumulative, counting stats that are being cited do not make this season any easier to digest. It actually amplifies the problems

13 possessions, 1 TD in the first half of those two games

Doesn't help that the defense stunk against the run (22nd). The offense also stunk running the ball (21st). Kamara is slowly becoming less worth what he is being paid.

That means the rest of the NFC South had roughly the same schedule. What were their offensive rankings?
ETA:
Saints: 41 total offensive tds
Bucs: 36 total offensive tds
Falcons: 31 total offensive tds
Panthers: 20 total offensive tds
Well with a stat like that, surely we won the division.....right?

For fun,
Chiefs: 37 total offensive tds
For fun, which team is still playing.

I mean it was clear the Saints just couldn't beat any good teams this yr.
That was an overall team/coaching issue. I'm not saying Carr wasn't at fault, cause he was.

You said he was knocked out of 3 games, all losses, insinuating we lost bc he left the game? Pardon me if that’s not how it’s supposed to read

This is correct. There were failures up and down the team this year. But that doesn't take away that we paid $30 million for someone only marginally better than what Andy Dalton gave us in 2022 at $4 million.
Carr
Comp %: 68.4
QBR: 56.7
Dalton:
Comp %: 66.7
QBR: 53.1
Carr had Mike Thomas nearly the entire season why Dalton had him for 3 games. It's very much OK to not be happy with that ROI.

I took it as him using that as a reason for loss as well. Starting pitchers get recorded for a loss when they exit a game while losing.

He was knocked out of 3 games… all losses. I believe we would have won the Green Bay game
My point was we would have been a playoff team, and because of that, I’m not ready to write Carr off yet.

You should have left off the other two games, then.

I'm not completely writing him off as a failure.....but I am saying that paying $26 million more for a QB for the same results as last year is a failure. Dalton was also a game away from the playoffs last season.

Wasn't Dalton playing for Payton?
Didn't Payton make jameis look like less of a gunslinger with a 12/3 td/int ratio.
This is stupid to fight about. Carr will be here next year.
Carr will never be a top qb. He gets scared in the pocket and has happy feet. He will never be able to fix those problems.
Just watch carr's feet.
