He’s gonna help our run game immediately and I think he’s got high upside as a receiving TE

He really is a sneaky good pick. Huge upside especially if he puts on 5-10 lbs and doesn’t lose too much speed. Play action nightmare

He’s gonna be the next hall of famer multi superbowl dominant TE? Wow, we go a steal!

Much of being a good blocking TE at the college level is being willing and physical. He definitely has that……the technique can be learned to make sure he succeeds (as a blocker) at the next level

He has great potential due to his incredible athletic ability but has has a number of things that he'll need to adjust and adapt to become a Kittle-level player.

Fingers crossed. Hope you're right Kellen Moore.

Thats high praise for a 3rd round guy that hasn't really shown much. Hes a jack of all trades. Which could make him a 12 year vet in the league.

So we draft a TE who caught 20 balls all season for 260 yds a 1 TD??? I sure hope coach knows something we dont

FWIW Kittle’s college stats are nearly identical to Delps

While I really like the pick….lets keep things realistic. The difference between Kittle and Delp is lateral movement. Delp is a fantastic athlete and has great straight line speed. But, the reason he’s a 3rd rounder is because he isn’t as fluid moving side to side. In some cases, he will need to be schemed open. That’s fine bc we have a great play caller for tgay

It is not that crazy of a comp.

Both elite RAS scores
Very similar college stats
Very similar height and weight
Delp does have shorter arms

Don't forget Kittle was only a 5th round pick

Him developing into a guy like kittle would be amazing.

If all he turns into is a guy who can legitimately block that gets you 35 catches a year, that’s still huge.

Think of how important and unsung a guy like Billy Miller was for that 09 team.

You realize Kittle was a fifth rounder, right ?

He's got the athletic ability to be basically any of those guys in theory.

I'm not an expert on him, but I do wonder why he had such low production. It's clear UGA knew how to get major production from TEs (Bowers).

Certainly not a bad pick in any way.
