either one would be an improvement over Carr and Lance is a mobile type option

Lance is a Bust and terrible. Carr is better than both of them. Rush is at least a serviceable backup NFL QB. Lance will have 1 more stop because he was a 1st round pick then be out of the league.

If they were to some how move Carr, Rush would be a really good vet presence with actual game experience

If Shanahan can’t make a QB out of Lance, I’m not sure what type of future he has in this league

Rush has won some games in this league. If Moore and company want to develop Rattler, Rush makes a ton of sense.

I'll take Cooper Rush, he's a bridge guy.

Why would you waste money on bad quarterbacks on other teams? We already have a cheap bad QB on our roster who can lose games as well as those 2 fools. Plus, our bad QB may not actually be that bad whereas those 2 guys well and truly suck.

Jameis

After Super Bowl week, they need to get that man on TV somehow. A Jameis show where he goes to the Sunday night game city and explores it and interviews people and players and stuff.

Every QB has gotten better and improved under Shanahan expect this guy. Tells you something

I doubt Moore hitched his wagon in his first coaching gig to "developing Rattler". Just re-sign Jameis and have some fun.

Neither are an improvement over Carr and neither are a better option in 2025 than Rattler if the Saints move on from Carr.

But I wouldn't be surprised if one of them lands in New Orleans if Car is gone.

Can't really say that for certainty, this could be the better and improved version of Lance

I will say trade Carr for a box of rocks. Draft Dart and roll with Rattler, Dart and Hill(when healthy). Time to bring in the youth movement. Yes it will hurt for a few years but its time to pay the bill.

Sign cheap backups for depth and give Moore a chance for year 3.

Am I the only one who thinks trade Carr (if you can) and then roll w/ Rattler for this year? If you cannot trade Carr, cut him this year or next (whichever works for the cap)

Stock up on linemen and other positions this year or EARLY draft capital for next year, and if Rattler works out, great, if not, draft a QB next year when there should be better options.

Honest question, was/is he really that bad? I know he's never looked like a star since being in the NFL, but has he looked like a complete bust in his game action? I only watched 1 game his rookie season and he looked like a rookie. Few good plays showing athletic ability & live arm, then several bad plays expected of rookies like holding onto the ball too long and taking a sack and the anxious fast balls overshooting the WR.

Quick look at his NFL stats and he's only attempted 143 passes. 71 of those his rookie season completing 41 (56%) with 5TD / 2INT. I thought he was reach at the top of round 1, but even still he was a high 1st rd pick so is roughly 5 games worth pass attempts spread over 4 seasons enough declare the guy a bust?

That said, the only way I bring him in is at basically league minimum if we cut Taysom and we look for another move type QB with specific packages for a handful of plays a game.
