Moore is okay, but not a big loss, he's just another WR.
My God.
SMH.
Just SMFH.

Not dumb. Seems like nothing to me. Feels like barely more than we have up to draft Olave.
Swapping 1st, a late 2nd. A future first and a middle of the road WR? For the #1 overall pick? Sign me up

Bears got a 1st, two 2nds, and DJ Moore. If Hollywood Brown was worth a 1st last year, DJ Moore is easily the equivalent of another 1. And the Bears are still picking in the top 10.

They didn’t give up “two 1’s”. They are still picking in the 1st round. They are now just picking 1st instead of 9th. They gave up ONE first round pick… in 2024

By comparison, the 49ers gave two ones and a 3rd to move from 12 to 3 for Trey Lance. Carolina paid significantly more.

Back to back years, they trade their running game, McCaffrey, and now their main reciever. Where can we get a player that can run the ball, pass the ball and then catch his own pass

Bryce Young is now in the NFC South. We might not have the best Qb in the division may not be Carr all of a sudden. I suppose there is a chance they take Will Levi’s or Anthony Richardson but Young is the best of them even being that small.

So they get rid of CMC and then package Moore in the trade? They trade their #1 next year too. If they get a QB he’ll have zero help. Terrible front office.

Probably Stroud.
It’s gotta be stroud

The #9 pick alone is more valuable than everything we gave up in that trade

I saw that.
What are the odds that this trade pays off for both teams I wonder?

Has to be Anthony Richardson. I hope he is number 1 pick. We will never have to hear about Jamarcus Russell bust agin. Richardson is 1/2 the player Akili Smith was. ESPN has joined NFL network to promote this guy to be the unquestionable #1 pick. Teams now fear not to.

Yes the contract part makes DJ even more valuable to the Bears. The Panthers have eaten some cap via signing bonus so the Bears get 25 year old DJ Moore for 3 years @ 52M with a huge chunk of the guaranteed money due this year. Watch what Justin Jefferson, Chase and the other young dominate WRs go for in the next few years and that contact will be pennies on the $ for a WR1

I would much rather they go with Young than Stroud or Richardson IMO

They will most likely be bad again next year, and really could loose more games. So the 1st they are giving up next year could be the #1 pick. Chicago did well on this trade and could still get a QB if they aren’t sold on Fields at 9

Absolutely. Bears get to evaluate Fields this season, then have the ammo to draft a better QB next year if he doesn't clearly progress.
If I was a Texans fan I'd be enraged Lovie Smith cost me the #1 pick. That alone was a fireable offense.

I am surprised Chicago traded out of the top 4. I figured they'd deal with Indy or Houston (if they strongly preferred 1 qb over the other) and take one of the top 2 defensive players.

Well we had the best QB in the division for about a week

Disagree. The CMC trade gave them plenty of draft assets to make moves. Even with what they gave up to get to #1, they still have 6 picks in the first 5 rounds of the draft.
