Saints always try to prepare to draft BPA.

Doing the same this year. We could go WR, TE, RB, Oline, Dline, LB, DB.

QB signed, Thomas resigned, D tackles signed, RB signed, etc.

Dline is still priority #1

Got to find some dependable playmakers

Gotta go dline round 1 still. Drafting a RB in mid to late round would be nice too

I feel like DT in the first is almost a lock, so which one?
Kancey, Ika, and Bresee could all be there. these are 3 very different players, though.

I don't think our signing preclude us from doing anything, the Saints like to just fill holes as best they can (twss) so that they CAN go BPA.

If the BPA is a DT or RB, they may go that route.

I see the Lines, and Safety being thoughts from them.

I’d like to see them trade back and pick up additional picks. They won’t though

i dont see it.

They need a starter along the interior D line in the worst way.

They always address what they perceive as needs in FA so they can go BPA. Of course, what they perceive as BPA rarely meets up with what the fans perceive as BPA. And, once they season starts both are right and wrong in certain positions.

With that said, they need to attack the o-line and front 7 of Def

They needed a wr and a tackle last year, and they made sure they got them. I expect them to make sure they get a DT and DE this draft

The players that are mostly there when I mock are:

1. Nolan Smith DE
2. Calijah Kancey DT
3. Anton Harrison T
4. Bijan Robinson RB
5. Will McDonald DE
6. Josh Downs WR

I know real life never goes like a mock, but if the pick is any of these guys, I would be satisfied. McDonald and Downs have lasted to pick 40 a few times for me, but I usually wind up with Felix Anudike-Uzomah (DE), Mazi Smith (DT) or Adetomiwa Adebawore (DE)

I'm calling my shot based on the mocks I have done and knowing we will absolutely draft an Ohio State player. We will draft Luke Wypler (C) in the 3rd or 4th round to start grooming to replace Peat.

I would like best DT, Edge, WR in the first 3 rounds.

Would like to add another CB, interior OL, LB in the remaining rounds.

You got to go best player available always unless you are completely stacked at the position. The biggest thing is you need young cheap players that actually contribute.

I would say this is a good observation and a great point

Only if he comes with injury history and is labeled by enough people as a "promising project"!

You know how we roll!

I like either DT or DE in the 1st with the other in the 2d. Add some talented youth to those position groups.
In the 3d maybe WR or S, dependent on who is available. Don't trade up. IMO we need to add three quality players with those three picks, and not lose later (this draft or the next) draft capital. Make them count Saints!
