I think this has more to do with NAW looking much better recently. We have too many guards as it is.

That’s because he doesn’t believe we have a shot at the playoffs and think’s that it will be obvious enough as the deadline approaches that the Pels will start selling.

I mean maybe. But it won’t be Jrue. Maybe Frank? Miller? Moore?

the quote

“And I said on this podcast maybe a week ago with Arnovitz that the consensus among the other 29 teams was that the Pelicans were in sort of a stand-pat mode with some of their trade guys,” said Lowe. “I’m not sure that’s the case a week and a half later. I think we’re going to hear some buzz on sell trades as the deadline approaches. That’s all I’m going to say for now.”

to me that can only mean holiday
I hope that’s not the case

those are not sell trades
those are throw ins to a buy trade to make salary work

a sell trade is a swap of a good player for assets

It’ll be guys like Frank Miller Moore and Jah. I think everyone else is safe. Idk whod we be willing to trade to make us sellers tho.

Can also mean the vets like Reddick or
Favors. Would be doing both a solid by moving them.

I think redick is happy here and hes incredibly valuable for us. Would be a bad move to get rid of our two vet leaders this early. If we suck next year we can let JJ go

I don't see us trading any of the rookies, Ingram, or possible but unlikely Ball.

Of everyone else, the ones who I would consider us being sellers would be Jrue, JJ, and Favors.

Everyone else is just a piece of a deal and wouldn't make us "sellers".

Trade JJ. He deserves a playoff team

We have a pretty tough pre-deadline schedule with Denver, Boston, @Clevland, Memphis, @Houston, Milwaukee. That Memphis game may determine our fate with respect to being buyer/seller. Odds are we probably are minor sellers.

JJ is being groomed for a FO position.

I wonder if it is Jrue honestly. We’d miss his defense but if we were able to acquire a guard who plays great defense as well, it could be interesting. I see a guy like JJ to be more of a leader than any of the other vets so far this season. Ingram and Zion will be the leaders down the road as well. I think this just makes Jrue a little bit more expendable if the right offer comes along.

Could see the Heat trying to go after Jrue hard.

But idk. Don’t think we trade Jrue

I'm definitely in no hurry to trade Jrue, but if the right offer came along I could be persuaded.

Redick chose the Pels knowing what he was getting in to. He saw the potential for growth. He did the same when he went to Philly. He wants to see this thing bear fruit
