Will it take a new owner for the SKC to be replaced?

Seeing owners across the league spending money to redevelop areas near their venues, what will it take for Benson to do the same?
A new arena could be built on the existing champions garage, lots 3/3a. Finally develop the old New Orleans center into a sports and entertainment district that connects both venues and can host better events.

SKC is prob bottom 10 in luxury across the NBA.

A new owner won't spell a new SKC. It'll spell a new city

It will take hundreds of millions of dollars, likely OUR tax dollars. frick a new arena. No arena has ever won a game.

Absolutely. Even if Gayle/NBA foot half the bill, it will still cost the state $3-400m.

Need a River Center attached to the convention center for NBA basketball.

I enjoy the SKC plenty when I go. I can watch the game comfortably, get in and out without issues.
All the excess is ridiculously stupid

New Orleans people don’t like nice things.

I'd rather they invest the money into finding out why this franchise has consistent injury problems with its star players.

I like it. It just needs about $100M overhaul.

I thought they were going to be building something near Mardi Gras World.

They literally announced this past season that they’re looking at places to build a new arena…

Bottom 10?
Technically you are right but probably more accurate to say bottom 3.
The SKC was bottom tier when it was brand new.

The Arena was built with the hopes of attracting an NBA team, but with the thought that it would only be used for minor league hockey. The sight lines are terrible for an NBA stadium, specifically the upper level.
Now, I don't see how New Orleans can ever afford to build a new stadium.

They’re looking at areas, but it would be in best interest to stay in the current footprint. With ASM/Ticketmaster/Centerplate offices all out of the dome, it would be smart to keep near since all of those areas are getting major upgrades in dome now.

Well it’s owned by the state.

We probably need to win a title in the SKC to get a new stadium.

I guess I am just not up to date on Basketball arenas but I don't see the obsession with renovating everything all the time. Usually new and renovated means higher prices. I'd rather a winning team and cheaper seats than some new hipster standing room only IPA draft area.
