The truth has been out there for a while.

Gayle had a mandate to not fire Willie.

Just like with Dennis, she only acts when she basically is forced to or the team just revolts and stops playing.

there's nothing dumber than firing a coach a few games into the season. Not that i don't want him fired, but it's just so stupid. Just do it in the offseason morons.

Pretty sure from the looks of it Joe wanted to fire Willie or at worst move him out of the coaching seat but Gayle wouldn’t allow him to.

This coming out this quick is showing that. Could also be why you see so much more frustration from the players

They won't be able to bring in any kind of decent candidate. The talent isn't really there and there's no draft pick that could turn things around.
Agreed. The allure of possibly 2 relatively high lottery picks in a loaded draft may have excited a new head coach. Instead, the idiot Dumars traded them both for Queen. Which do you think a new head coach would have found more enticing?

Nah, there's plenty of talent. It just hasn't been playing together as a team.

For frick sake just do it already and put the man out of his misery! Maybe we will actually win a game after he's gone. I honestly don’t even know what these “discussions” are about. He sucks. FULL STOP. There is nothing to discuss.

Wilie probably wants to be fired. He's not going to quit and not get paid.

I saw Jose talking to him the other night multiple times. Almost like he was telling him what willie was doing wasn't working. Jose is like a coach on the bench. He is always in the action.

I mean, on most plays that break down, Willie just turns to Borrego and shrugs, anyway.

And if you are done with them you are not fan at all.
You may change your wife, but not your favorite team.
If the shite hit the fence (especially if it's year after year) you go and protest every time until changes are made. That's what real fans (like in Europe) do.

So you letting WG stick around to get to 0-6, before you fire him? After you said you were all in this year, by the trades you made.

If only we hired a new GM and could have done this during the offseason like every fan suggested instead of wasting potentially another entire season walking into a season knowing Green would have to be fired

Where's the governor when you need him? He'll get it done.

Gayle's probably tired of firing people. Firing Willie in off-season to replace with JB probably would have meant both a new multi year contract and pay increase for JB. Having JB as an interim saves a little money and makes easier to separate if the trial doesn't work out. JB can then earn the job beyond this season or you move in new direction without another big multiyear coaching contract.
