What do we think about Gary Payton II and what would he cost?
We tried it with Ian Clark. He looked halfway decent playing on a team full of hall of famers, got here and was terrible. Now he's a role player in the NBL.
Payton's about to be 30 years old and happens to finally look like an NBA player when he's on a championship team. Dont fall for it.

Have no need for GP2 with all the guards we have

Realistically, I think the limit is dumping Temple for a roster spot and turning Graham into a flyer on another player who could work out for us.

Dang the thunder aren't even picking up a 1.9 million option on Lou Dort. How is that possible.

I just read declining the option makes him an RFA, not an UFA, which makes sense.
If they pick up his option, he becomes an UFA after next year

Got ya. So it's probably to actually give him a raise then.

Yeah, a lot of times teams will give second round picks 4 year contracts and the last year will be a team option, with a plan to decline the option if the player is someone they want to stick around. Or, like what the Pels did with Herb, they just gave him a 3 year contract, so when that contract is up, he'll be an RFA. 3 years is key because that's when you get Bird Rights for the player.

Should've known he was suspect when Lonzo met him at the rim and stuffed him

Maybe we can trade Jaxson for him. Both high flyers with legal issues. Miles is the better player, but Jax technically has the better legal situation right now.

There's mutual interest between Malik Monk and the Sacramento Kings, per @JakeLFischer

Lakers losing Monk would be pretty big I feel like. He provides a good amount of scoring for them.
Rumors of Griffin wanting to join either Clippers or Lakers. I really hope it’s the Lakers
