I see it as both teams using each other to leverage the real trade options.

Or perhaps Stein is getting the Pels being involved in a Butler trade right, but not as getting Butler, but as a facilitator in a much larger trade

That's great an all, but Butler just either wouldn't come (or agree to it), wouldn't show up when traded, or would do what he's done in other places:

Been such a POS pain in the arse that the team is forced to keep him away from the team

He will never suit up for multiple games for the Pels

There is very little use in even discussing the possibility

Jimmy Butler will never wear a pels uniform, that's a fact

Hopefully this is just part of something else where we get future assets to start a rebuild.

Yeah, no.

Someone’s trying to build leverage for a deal and hoping someone is very stupid.

You want this to happen. CJ and BI for Butler. Let a grumpy Butler sit the rest of the season and then trade him during the summer. Saves the tank and can maybe get assets come summer time after a potential sign and trade

It’s either this or bI and cj come back and we will start winning too many games. Use your brains

That is an awful trade. Jimmy can opt out in the summer and sign wherever he wants.

If they give us a first and a role player for ingram and we get Jimmy and just let him walk next year I wouldn't totally hate it.

I wouldn't like it either

It works on the trade machine if you add in Duncan Robinson.

Like I’ve said, the best asset you’re ever going to get for BI and/or CJ is the current pick we have now and solidifying it being in the top 5. The chances we get the value yall think we should get for these two is low.

My soul is more than ready for Jimmy Butler to be on the same team as Zion and to be coached by Willie Green. It might be more entertaining than an actually good basketball team.

We can’t afford this. I hate when the rumors become so unrealistic.

If tweet fails to load, click here.

In his tweet Stein mentions trade scenarios. That to me reads as jumping in as a 3rd/4th team

I’m not subscribed so don’t know what the whole article says

Train wreck you can spot a mile away. He is a malcontent on teams far better than ours.
