i think this whole charade has shown that NBA fans have gotten a lot smarter with how the media is full of shite
the "4 guys + 1sts" was already out there, so i don't think that any alleged move to the middle (of reaonability) is going to move the needle

Mainly that the Lakers can pretend to up their offer to the one that was originally leaked, therefore seem reasonable, and the Pels can accept and pretend they “won”
The Lakers had already leaked the "good offer" where they included all of their assets. I think Nofox is right, this isn't posturing or aimed at the public, this is a direct shot at the Lakers locker room and Klutch.

An offer that sucks. It makes more sense for the Pels just to say No to the Lakers due to the tampering and undermining shite.
I used to like watching Lebron's game, but I hope the rest of his career is shite there.

The tweet was meant to show the Lakers locker room that the only people safe are Klutch guys....look whose running the show.
I hope everyone on the Lakers team that isn't Klutch quits on them the rest of the season

Can we also give a shout out to Kyrie Irving?!?! He’s making the Celtics and Knicks compete for AD by all but saying he won’t go anywhere without AD.

Magic is likely sending Dell a thousand trade machine links offering anyone but LBJ. Issue is, Lakers have nothing we want.
Wok seems to be a mouthpiece for the Lakers in this. He may be putting this info out to try to decrease offers from NYK and Boston. But that’s just my conspiracy theory.

I don’t think so. Woj is talking about the Pels holding out for the better Celtics deal (in his words). He’s just doing his job.

That’s probably the worst offer ive ever seen
Is it bad I’m scared Dell would take that?

KCP is the key to their whole plan. if we demand they take solomon hill so we get the expiring, BOOM, they don't have the cap for 2 max guys why i've always said any offer without KCP/Hill switch is bad
But why do the Pels care much about cap room right now? Shouldn't they want to take salary in return for picks/young players?
And what's the difference whether the Pels take KCP or Rondo/Stephenson? All on 1 year deals; total $ less than $2 mill apart.

When will the Lakers realize that NOLA means NO L.A.
Posted on 2/2/19 at 12:45 pm to NOFOX
Only Lakers trade I would entertain is AD for LeBron.
Posted on 2/2/19 at 12:48 pm to SulphursFinest
I don’t think I’d even entertain that
LeBron is up there in age now. And it’s starting to show. He missed 17 games?

I wouldn’t
I wouldn't either.
However it would be funny if the Pels leaked to the media that they had countered LA's offer by offering AD for Lebron and 2 unprotected firsts.

Does anyone else see the downside on this round of leaks?

Curious if Ainge is helping Dell with managing this s**t while he has his own Kyrie stuff...
That would be absolutely embarrassing if true. Why do the Pelicans feel that Ainge won't try to screw them over too? I can see Dell talking himself into Jaylen Brown being a franchise player and not demanding Tatum in the deal.
The team that is going to suffer the most is Boston. They will trade Tatum, Kyrie will leave, and AD the year after. Works for me.

Dell ain't taking shite, because Dell isnt handling the trade...

Any trade must include taking Solo off our hands.

If we are rebuilding then he will be an expiring next season. May just rather the extra pick it would cost to get rid of him.

Kind of depends on the pick and the front office’s plans.
A projected late 20s pick (Boston, Lakers, etc) is mainly good for a draft and stash project like a Euro player. And even then some of those players never come over. It’s a lottery ticket which could pay off several years down the road.
A projected mid-teens pick (late lottery / early playoff team) has a decent bust possibility but could also be a solid rotational player.
Cap relief from Solo means an additional $13m in space which could either be used to sign someone or, if we do a major rebuild, could be used to absorb shite contracts from tax teams in exchange for picks, players, or cash considerations.
If we are severely below the salary floor, absorbing the contract only means we pay out less to the guys on the team who are guaranteed the difference between total salaries and the salary floor.
Philly under Hinkle used this constantly to absorb bad contracts in exchange for sweeteners, such as eating a large expiring contract and getting a draft pick in exchange for sending out a trade exception and/or a top 55 protected 2nd.
