Yeah Knicks wouldn’t do that…

Why wouldn’t they trade a bench player that averages less than 50 games a season in his career that’s a one trick pony?

They’re not re-signing M Rob so they should trade him, and they would be getting a suitable replacement in Looney who’s cost controlled for two seasons, which is a big deal for a team tiptoeing around that 2nd apron

But honestly, I don’t want the pelicans doing anything until tight excise the rumor that is fat Zion from this organization.
nothing should happen until he’s gone. Until they get rid of him they will never be a serious franchise

Once Dejounte comes back there’s not gonna be many minutes for him between Fears, Dejounte and Poole.

Id rather get rid of Murray and Poole first

So would everyone but those guys have bad contracts so unless you’re cool with trading more 1sts, you’re stuck with them.

Murray

best option is to rehab him this year and move him in the offseason or 2026 season deadline

right now, he's a negative asset

Yeah, the idea is for us to get picks for our players, not be forced to attach picks to dump overpaid players on bad contracts.

You gotta either extend Jose or trade him.

Jose is legitimately the fan favorite inside that arena. Nowhere close outside it. But if you go to those games, you just know. When that little shite is cooking and making his signature plays, that place comes alive no matter how much we suck. It’s just fun energy. It’s fun to be around as a fan.

There’s a reason Road-se is so different from Home-se.

Give me that for Jose and call it in. Those are really good 2nds and we don’t have any 2nds in this draft or next years draft

Agreed. You’ll get downvoted because people think he’s worth a first round pick when he isn’t. This would be a good deal for Jose

That's exactly why I wouldn't trade him right now, if I were Dumars. Jose definitely adds to the fan experience, and there are so few fans coming to the SKC right now as it is.

Really? The big Murray guy that you are?

Rest of the season should only be about developing Fears and Queen, and showcasing Murray and Poole so they can become plus assets again for the offseason or next years trade deadline. Nothing else matters.

Let’s see if Dumars and company are smart enough to realize this…

They’re trying to win a chip… Mitch is the biggest X factor they have. He was drafted there when the Knicks were terrible and has helped build the whole thing.

Today is a pretty big deadline day for NBA trades. Any trade done today has a special condition that allows players acquired to be traded again (see the quote below).

"Marc Stein predicts a trade of some sort will happen as soon as Monday or Tuesday (15th or 16th) because:

1) Majority of players signed this offseason will be trade elligible
2) Anyone who's traded by 12/16 is elligible to be repackaged in a subsequent trade on deadline day"

So, we might see some action around the league..
