Willie better be gone the second the season ends.

Zion? I’m willing to listen to offers on him. Charlotte appears to be putting together assets.

This deal makes me wonder if this had more to do with Willie and Zion

The way guys are talking it sounds like Ingram wanted to be traded. I think some of it maybe Willie, but I think a large part of it is he feels like he was disrespected by not being offered a max deal, because in his head he’s a max player. These players just have not adjusted to the new CBA and realized yet that teams aren’t going to throw around 30-35% max deals like they used to.

In other words, they've won absolutely nothing. You're acting like we just let a prime Chris Paul out the door again.

I’m not acting like anything. This team is currently pathetic and y’all are acting like that’s because of BI. Which is not the case.

This era had the most hype and the least amount of success. Think about it for a second. 6 years and less success than the AD era. Ingram was part of the failure. Noone should be hoping to retain these stars especially at the price they think they're worth.

You think anyone should be happy with 3 play in runs and 0 playoff series wins? That's mediocrity at its best.

The team is currently pathetic because everyone either is or has been injured, and BI is a big part of that problem. We constantly talk about Zion's availability, but BI has actually only played a few more games than Zion during their time together here in N.O.

He (and/or his agent) is going to learn the hard way on this one.

Maybe, BUT I feel like Ingram at that amount of money would have been a better asset.

I would prefer Ingram on that contract and trading zion for assets rather than paying zion what he makes and the return for Ingram.

The problem with paying Ingram to be your second best player is that he rarely plays. He’s only played 60 games once in four years.

What’s the best ability?

So we just going to talk about BI playing 60 games a year, and blame him for the team being shitty, while mcfatass misses on average 46 games a year, and missed both playoff series we were in?

Zion is the failure for this run of the Pelicans. Sure BI is part of that failure, but THE failure is Zion.

Ridiculous the hate BI gets, while the Zion hope train is always on the tracks.

I’m curious to see if his next contract is higher than 35 per year.

With his new shot profile I could see it happening. BI was lighting it up before the injury.

I can get behind anyone who supported the city and liked it here and wanted to be here. Suck his only game was mid range and he wanted to be paid for more than that.

But get fatass to New York where he wants to be. As long as this franchise keeps trying to build around him they are shooting themselves in the foot. If they can’t see that by now, then idk.
Yea he averages 20 something when heathy. But he has no outside shot and needs the perfect pieces around him and can’t stay on the floor.
Fatass is the blame for where this franchise is now.

If I think I’m worth $50M, I’m not taking mid $30M.

Oh well a team centered around Zion, it’s really not enjoyable keeping up with this franchise or Saints.

Ingram had a great shot and helped us offensively, but ultimately he was too soft and hurt too much. He passed up a good deal considering how often he is hurt.

The problem is BI is not a max player. The reason you say Zion has been the reason for the failure is because Zion is good enough to lead the team. You are right that Zion has not been available nearly enough. BI’s issue is he wanted to be paid 14 million more than Zion is being paid.

I will always say that part of the reason BI feels so disrespected is because the organization has always treated it as BI’s team. He was front and center in the team mural at the facility, he was announced last in the starting lineup. I really think a big reason he feels worth a max is because the organization treated him that way for 5 years.

That would have been a win-win deal for the Pels and BI. I just don’t know why he has it in his head he’s a max guy. He’s a close to max guy but the tier below that which the Pels offer reflected. I honestly can’t believe BI don’t take that shite with his injury history. This will be one of the biggest “what-ifs” with this team.

Because he was offered the max when he was first eligible and turned it down hoping to be eligible for the super max. shite went side ways and got caught offguard by the new CBA. Then his agent and him turned down a 200m deal with Utah in a potential offseason trade.

It's a hard pill to swallow when the Pelicans are now only offering 35. The last two seasons for him has been a nightmare in terms of betting on his future.
