Given the high risk, high reward with him. I would trade Herb for Ament, not Trey.

If thats their way of rebuilding,.I'm fine with that. At some point, a lot of vets will need to be traded to make room for the young players to get minutes.

Logically, it would make sense to Herb would get traded in order to draft Ament which would allow Bey (with an extension) to start in his position. However, it’s the Pelicans so it might be a terrible Trey trade and they take Ament.

I think he was something like 44% from the field and 37% from three in SEC play. That kind of uptick with the increase in competition is noteworthy, imo

Unless someone offered me an unreal deal for Herb or # 1, I believe I would stand pat with what I have right now and concentrate on midseason moves that would probably yield better returns.

If they wanted to bring in a cheap 'big', I would kick the tires on UFA Jock Landale who shows he has the ability to stretch the court. By no means is he a permanent fix for the center position, but he could be a bridge until we identify our long-term 5. Reminds me a little of Hartenstein.

I'm not quarreling you about the talent; he's gifted. Where you are wrong is calling him a top four PLAYER on the team.
Why?
You got to play to be called a player!!! But, never mind that, when he does participate, he DOES NOT make this team better. Just this year he graced us with his presence 62 times and we were rewarded with just 26 wins (on a team that wasn't trying to tank).
I know his stans think he walks on water, but all I see is a sinking ship. And our record since his inception in New Orleans bears me out.
