We had no depth this year. It is what it is. We used a lot of mojo in 2023, and it is extremely tough to repeat. ...
Free throws are down substantially (as well as points per game) since the All-Star break. The refs are eating the whistle on drives more. Frankly, I don’t love this era of basketball. Where is the defense? So many advantages have been provided offense that it’s evolved the game (with the insane ...
It’s going to be Thune. The epicenter of the swamp is the Senate, and they NEVER turn on one of their own…. Parties don’t matter, as it’s all the uniparty in that chamber. They will put Thune in place, just like he has been training for years. The old guard needs to be primaried out, but I am su...

The difference in this team and the other top teams is at home. We blow games that the other top teams don’t. We are 17-12 at home and 18-12 on the road. 5-6 more wins at home, and we are right there at the top of the standings in the west. There are many losses this year that still sting…. Uta...
There is no way he is worth the max and will become an albatross at the back end of the contract. We should have traded BI last summer, knowing this was coming. ...
The 2019 team NEVER at any point in the season trailed in the 4th quarter or the other team had the ball with a chance to take the lead. It doesn’t get any more dominant than that. There were no come from behind games, etc. The only game that was “close” was the Auburn game. ...
We already had a team with no one that has ever delivered or been a part of real playoff success. We picked a coach that had never been a HC before. What a combination. ...

Lowe commentary about the Pels….

Nothing revolutionary, but he touches on what has been discussed here. 7. The New Orleans Pelicans melting down in crunch time On the other end of those two stirring Memphis comebacks: the Pelicans, now 6-8 in games in which the score was within five points in the final five minutes, with t...

re: Low basketball IQ

I thought the Grizzlies game was bad. This one felt even worse. The 4th quarter was awful. Bad rotations, bad shot selection, bad FT shooting by Zion, and just low IQ all around - players and coaches. ...
He was a gritty, D type of guy. He obviously has an affinity for those type of players. His rotations make no sense at times, because of his affinity. He is going to get fired because of it. Zeller over Trey at the end for Jonas was one of the most insane moves I have watched. ...

Pacers are coached by Rick Carlisle. He’s a real NBA coach. We need real coach. ...

At this stage, I’m praying to find out the team partied last night. ...

So embarrassing to have this happen on the national stage. We just aren’t a serious franchise, as many have said. ...

re: F these refs.

It was obvious to any non-clueless person that Lance Armstrong was on the juice. No doubt with Lebron as well. Let’s see how he does in the second half. It’s pretty smart to put him on Zion. He just doesn’t have to really play D. ...

re: Zions lack of effort is concerning

It’s his biggest game maybe ever? He lost in the elite 8…. Never played a meaningful late season game in the pros. He is now 1-4 from the line. It just sucks he is in his 5th year and can’t really get it together. It’s all on him at this point. It’s a dead horse. ...

I don’t post much, but I would love to participate in this. This board keeps me sane during basketball season. ...

re: FTs are a real issue

Posted by elveaux on 11/27/23 at 10:57 pm
Bottom line is if we shot 82% from the line like the Jazz, we would have won this game. We are 26 out of 30 teams in FT shooting this year. You just can’t give away points like that and expect to win close games. ...
