So what exactly is happening when he's in the game because our defense looks like shite the minute he's on the court? This seems like one of those situations where maybe Graham knows what he should be doing but is incapable of doing it, so what difference does it make? The end result is still negative.
Larry is being nice. In the off chance that a team didn’t force Graham on ball, Graham struggles mightily as a help defender as well. He’s just too darn small. He’s not getting in front of the ball handler or protecting the rim, he’s treated as if he isn’t even there. And if he does hedge and they decide to pass, he’s not long enough to get back and affect a three point shooter. They shoot right over him.
He does try, just is what it is.

You might want to sit down before reading this next stat because it will break your brain.
When Devonte Graham is ON the court the DRtg is 106.9
When Devonte Graham is OFF the court the DRTg is 111.3
LINK
The On/Off stats say he's dragging the offense down but bringing the defense up.
Is he a good individual defender, probably not, but Larry's personal testimony and the On/Off stats say he's a good team defender. So yes, I think someone like Thibs would probably appreciate Graham more than the fans, the same way Willie does. We saw it a ton with Monty and guys like Dante Cunningham. Coaches LOVE guys that know where to be. And you should be happy about this even if it doesn't fit what you think you've seen, because it makes a trade I described plausible.

I think that has more to do with Jax's minutes coinciding with Graham's minutes.
Graham is small so there will always be issues there, but he works his arse off on defense.
Jaxson is 9th on the list of players Graham has logged the most minutes with. LINK Naji, Nance and Jose are top 3 and that certainly helps, partly because they are good defenders, but partly because Graham can focus on team defense and not have to play above his head at the point of attack.
I'm not trying to sell Graham as DPOY, I'm trying to sell him as someone that Thibs would want in his rotation.

Not sure if Brandon "Scoop B" Robinson is legit, but he seems to be affiliated with Bally Sports.

New Orleans Pelicans are one of the teams that have registered interest in Toronto Raptors players OG Anunoby & Gary Trent Jr, sources share with

And I think Noel is the perfect 3rd big

and who's getting the two firsts?
Detroit will want 1, and Raptors will want 2.

I know it's stupid to use one game to judge a player, but I wasn't super impressed with OG against the Pels.
He's big and strong but seems like he fouled a lot and just didn't get the whistles Herb gets.
36 percent from 3 is better than Herb, but it's not worth what he'll want to get paid.
And if he's so good, why do the Raptors with Siakam, Trent and FVV and a good coach suck?

I mean the 2025 Mil pick is almost assuredly going to be late 20's unless that team has some GS level injuries.
This pick should definitely be on the table for the right piece. And that would be a fair trade for Bog, but getting him the minutes to be a difference maker I think you'd have to take away minutes from Trey. Considering Griff dismissed getting rid of Trey in a John Collins trade, I don't think they want Trey to be moving backwards in the lineup.
I'm actually hoping the Lakers give up their two firsts. I don't think Bog would truly move the meter enough to move get them out of a bottom 10 team. God I'd love them to completely sell their future.

Those guys are fine when you have a Kawhi and/or Lowry playing next to em. Kinda how our guys look without BI & Zion.

I'm pretty sure Bojan's contract is similar to Graham's in that it's only partially guaranteed after next season ($2m with a 6/9/24 guaranteed date).
So, essentially, you could have a potential expiring next season or even in the off-season if you want(ed) to target a bigger fish.

We don’t own that pick anymore. Knicks do via Detroit, via Portland, where we traded it for CJ.

Excellent point. Assuming it would take 1 first (2027 MIL, top-4 protected?) and maybe a second- if some star becomes available this offseason or next deadline (and Benson willing to go full tax team)- then you'd have $35+mil. in expiring salary between Bojan and JV's contracts. That's the base to add picks and prospects for a star trade.
Which star? Ones I can think of who'd be worth it and could have some possibility of their teams moving them: Embiid, Jalen Brown, SGA, KAT, Bam, Siakam.
