Pels are registering interest in Detroit’s Bogdanovich per Shams

Detroit Pistons The Raptors, Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas Mavericks are among the teams registering interest in Detroit’s Bojan Bogdanovic, league sources say. The Pistons have maintained that they prefer to keep Bogdanovic moving forward, but as The Athletic’s James Edwards III reported, the franchise is open to conversations, and it’s believed an unprotected first-round pick can pry Bogdanovic out of Detroit.

Would be a great fit. LFG.

Will be interesting to see what the Hawks do.... I would imagine they may blow up some of their team and send some away.... Very intrigued by what the Pels can maybe get off of them

Hard pass on using an unprotected pick for Bogdanovic.

A Bogdoanavic/Noel package is supposedly of interest to the Lakers too now that the Pacers seem less likely to be sellers. I consider it strongly because it fits our needs and trade blocks the Lakers, which we may need to do as the rest of the west flounders. Phoenix has plummeted to just half a game ahead of the Lakers
Unfortunately if the desperate Lakers are involved the price will probably be too ridiculous to do.

I mean the 2025 Mil pick is almost assuredly going to be late 20's unless that team has some GS level injuries.
Which, not impossible so I'd prefer to protect it, but I also wouldn't melt if ultimately we got away with salary + a lightly protected Mil 2025 first. Since ultimately unprotected is Detroit's ask, which I doubt they get.

listed as SF.
he would be a bench guy if all pels are healthy.
whats the point? plays ahead of tm3 and herb?
get me a mobile big rim protector.
i like the player bogdanovic and hes tested at age 33. just not the needle mover. and not on the time line.
the more i think about it the more aggravating it seems. its a story. i doubt it.
the actual pel needs are known by all regulars.
1. hayes, only better bbiq. mobile defender inside who eats up guards in the lane.
2. graham, only better bigger and cheaper.
a guard.
hes over 6 2 or spider arms.

Yall need to stop worrying about these damn picks and get a primetime shooter than can win us a championship.
Some of yall on this board seem to just not want to let go of this treasure chest. You have to fricking gamble at some point if you want to win.

I think their name gets tossed in plenty of media circles with bloggers trying to play GM.... Not saying they aren't interested, because obviously they need shooting but I don't think they are always in the mix as much as stories lean into...
Fake News stories stir buzz because certain teams/situations get more traction than others.
Bog would be
in NOLA, but also I am fine without him. Rather not break the bank this year vs do it in the off season to take the NEXT step. Posted on 1/17/23 at 9:14 am to 50_Tiger
Why not go for Alec Burks? He's cheaper and can shoot just as good.

True, but I just at this juncture want the proven vet and another good leader in the lockeroom. This is the reason why DET is hard on getting a good deal if they let him go.

Id rather go for the cheaper Alec Burks. How many shots would bogi get on a fully healthy pels team? probably not enough to justify the cost of getting him

you dont have to. but you can shortcut past the grizzlies and their build by draft.
if you swing for the fences and miss you might be fired.
and the money might be difficult for years.
and instead of an exciting young team on the come you are not in a home series for years.
as is, the pels with health can win it all. not favored but possibly.
if you would find joy in it propose your "gamble" trade. the devil is in details.

Oddly enough the Celtics got caught holding the bag on their picks a decade ago and it took being awful and landing Tatum and Brown to change their luck.
You never EVER want to be caught holding the bag.

You do know that we don't have this pick anymore right?
When we made the playoffs, our 2022 first round pick went to Charlotte instead of Portland, which caused this 2025 Bucks pick to go to Portland (top 4 protected for us) for the CJ trade. That first was then sent to Detroit for Jerami Grant. And then Detroit sent it to NYK for Jalen Duren.
The only way we get that pick is if it falls in the top 4.

Looking at salaries, it’s gotta be Graham/Jax going out. Graham/Temple would have us only 753k below the tax line with an open roster spot (not enough money to fill that spot for the rest of the season)
Graham/Jax would have us around 2.9 million below the tax line with an open spot.
If we could send Willy out without taking a salary back (Nets have a TPE large enough and a need), that would have us at 4.8 million below the tax with 2 open roster spots.
Detroit already has a lot of big men, so we could maybe get Stewart added to the trade if we’re giving up that unprotected 1st. This would leave us around 1.5 million below the tax with an open roster spot to either sign someone from the buyout market, or try out guys on 10 days and sign EJ to a full deal at the end of the season.

this.
Sure Bogdnavich would be awesome for us right now, and scoring 25+, and then Zion and BI come back and he gets about 8-10 shots a game.
and he's a terrible defender.

Is Graham/Hayes and a non-Lakers 1st reasonable?
