The sideline/baseline look cooler but it looks like they just swapped the big pelicans for some fleur de lis on the main court and called it a day.
I mean look how beautiful this design was in our Hornets days.

They’re not very good at change and then implementing it. Should’ve just teased the baseline of the marsh, waited and released the uniforms and court at the same time.
Same can be said when they used Urkel for the video with CJ. They could’ve did a montage of all 90s sitcoms to release dates of the opponents. They just did the video and then dropped four pictures of the schedule.

They're probably going for a New Orleans Flag replication with the 3 fleur de lis on each side of the court.

The snippets of the marsh themed perimeter look great.

After 1st viewing... I had the feeling of it being an alternate court... maybe 1 that would coincide with the team's 4th uniform... the 1 that will be unveiled for the in-season tournament (IST)
but after thinking about it... I remembered the thread from earlier in the summer about the Pelicans adjusting their logos/brand
the old primary logo was adorned at center court of all of our old courts (we had multiple courts the past few seasons... the differences were just so minor you'd have to put them next to each other to be able to spot them all)
now that the team has updated its branding... the old court design has to go away to get rid of the old brand... so this court design teaser will be for the main court used for most of the season
will be interesting to see if we do get an alternate court though... they could make a red version

My guess is that video wans't from the arena, it was from the practice facility. Those lines are probably for the rim at half court.

Promising. But I'm pretty sure that a lot of the birds they showed in that video weren't even Pelicans.

Yes, but then it's upside down. Also, whether as presented or flipped, either way they'll look to be on their side to everyone on TV and most watching at the game. They could have accomplished the same goal with a center court FDL logo and had the other two FDL at the top eright and top left (bench corners). Then paint the top sideline red and the bottom one (and baselines) blue.
I love the light blue on navy blue but it reminds me so much of the Grizzlies.
I wanted to love this but my feelings are pretty "meh." Not bad, not great.

Talked to a guy at a brewery in Chattanooga a few months ago that had seen it. They make most of these near there in Georgia.
Said it was really cool swampy looking. He didn't mention the fleur de lis overload.

Not a fan of the fleur de lis’ on the court but the baseline/sideline is fireee
