According to espn reporter who just chatted with Boogie he stated he was emotionally hurt that no one not even Pelicans offered him. Boogie reached out to the Warriors

Will Guillory - @WillGuillory: --Pels feel they can play the same style they did in playoffs last year with an athletic big like Randle in the mix.
--There were some talks between NOLA and Cousins, but they never had an official meeting.

But I don't buy this at all

That’s what the reported just stated he said Boogie than called his agent at 5am while he was here in Vegas. Warriors were shocked that he called them looking for a deal than he called several players individually and they welcome him aboard Boogie said it lifted his spirit. He was especially shocked the Curry welcome him with open arms as well

Honestly I could see the Pels slow playing this a bit thinking that Cousins wouldn’t so stupid to take essentially the vet minimum to play for GS.

Not having an offer is possible.

The Pelicans not invested in negotiating an actual offer... not possible.

He’s just using semantics at this point.

Come on let’s be real here maybe typical Demps was being himself trying to play it out and in the end we got screwed

I don't know about getting screwed. Typical Demps screwup would be coming in hot with a major overpay for a guy who hasn't really been the best team player.

If its true though, I weirdly feel better about the whole situation.

Means Davis was DEFINITELY in on that decision. And might help explain him going so hard for Randle

If Demps was being himself we would have offered him a max deal for 4 years despite only having one wheel.
