Honestly from the beginning I didn't quite get the Lakers fear.
Teams trying to avoid them etc.
Nothing this season really demonstrated them to be some goliath to be avoided. Even if they were more healthy.
And going forward I think if the stars align they might have one more run, but I wouldn't bet on it.

No way, Lebron will announce ahead of time to have a farewell tour. Then he will hint at coming back for three years like Brett Favre to get more attention.

It’s going to be exhausting.

Their delusional fans think Pelinka can perform miracles since they lucked into a Mickey Mouse title even though in reality they got trade raped. They think Pelinka can get off of KCP and Kuzma even though the only positive asset they have is this years 1st round pick. They are both slightly below averasge assets at best so some team would have to go out of their way to help them. Barring an act of god they will be worse next year with an aging LeBron and AD with a longer injury history that will start lowering his ceiling if it hasn’t already.

Please on the luck in - Cade would look great on the court with Zion, Lonzo and BI.

Didn't want to start a new thread, but let me just say that I am happy we didn't get Kuzma in the AD trade. Wow he just isn't good

Laker fans still running around saying they should have sent Kuzma instead of Ingram to us like they had a choice in the matter

Magic Johnson on Dennis Schröder: "I don't think he's a Laker. I don't know if they're gonna sign him back or not, but I don't think he brings the winning mentality and attitude we need. He had a chance to show that but to me, he failed in this series."
Dumpster fire over there

Yea if you wanna have a laugh or watch them panic go to the Lakers Reddit

Crazy that magic is blaming schroder

I think the year after next is when they start to suck unless they get lucky as hell in free agency with a top player.
Yeah I mean counting on them to fall off is not very likely. I see Lebron getting real aggressive with the recruiting tactics pretty quick.
I mean shite it wasn’t a crazy reality where Kawhi went there. They’re still the Lakers and will pull someone big. I’d love for it come crashing down but unless Lebron bolts they’re going to be contenders as long as he’s there.
It’s gonna have to take a 2020 Golden State type Klay out for the year and Steph miss a ton of time type scenario. Frankly, we almost got it this year had Golden State finished the job in the play in on the Lakers.

He crumbled in the playoffs. But they are stuck and will have to pay him lol or it will really get bad.
Not sure who they could pull with the first and Kuzma or KCp attached this year. Likely not much. I thought Schroeder was a a decent pick up last season for them.

They have no cap space and no assets.
This is the devils bargain they made. Trade everything not nailed down to bring in AD and hope for the best for the 3-4 year window Lebron is realistically still top 10.
Fact is though I think last year was the peak.
Lebron is finally showing signs and AD will forever be made of glass. And what’s more is that they don’t have the depth of a Nets to load mange the way they probably should to keep their two stars fresh.

Yeah say what you want about Schroder, but he was the only guy on the Lakers that even tried in game 6. The Lakers overall roster is just fricking arse and them winning depends on Lebron and AD being healthy at the right times and KCP raining enough 3’s to keep the opposition somewhat honest in their defensive coverage of AD and Bron.

He'd probably have a new Decision to come back if it wasn't so blatantly toxic.

I'm not saying playing an NBA season is easy, but he probably will never have an easier way to make $45-$50 million a year than to keep playing. At some point he'll decide he's had enough, but how do you retire if a team is still willing to pay you that much money?

Check their Reddit page. They think we'll do a sign and trade giving them Lonzo for Schroder. No one responded when I asked why we would want Schroder or what incentive do we have to help the Lakers get better.

Lakers fans are so entitled when it comes to trades.
They think they can trade Kuzma for Giannis

That’s ridiculous! The Bucks would have to give up a 1st or 2 as well.

I'm glad Davis got a groin pull so soon after kicking defender in nuts.
I'm glad they lost.
they won when healthy last year.
it can happen again.
they just need to finish 6th or better with both lebron and davis at full strength.
what are the odds lakers picks are going to be "gooood"? gooood to me means you get a starter. top 6 or so.
you are looking for lottery luck.
