Maybe, but it’s likely going to be a protected pick.

Nah, no one puts protections on picks ??

He signed with Toronto for 3-years/$120 million, no?

Yes, for some reason I thought he was averaging 35 a year. Should have double checked my work.
40 is pushing it. For what he signed with Toronto with, easily

We need a lot more things more so than a QB. Mahomes couldn’t win behind this line throwing to midgets all day. We need to get the best players instead of being the Browns who just take a new QB with a top 5 pick each year

The Browns have taken 3 QBs in the top 5 since 1970.

quote:

Since there likely isn’t a franchise QB, don’t reach for one. Get a cornerstone player and find the QB elsewhere. Don’t draft Brady Quinn, Brandon Weeden, Johnny Football, etc., just because they are a QB.

None of those QBs were taken in the top 5 or anywhere near the top 5. Don't disagree with the premise of not taking a QB just to take one but these weren't highly rated players to begin with which is why they were taken in the 20s. If the Saints have a QB that they believe is a top 5 talent then they should take him, regardless of the other holes on the team, assuming we're picking in the top 5 because Rattler and Shough didn't show us enough.
He's saying it wasn't Rattler's fault, it was the fault of the WR who should have blocked the CB that took out Olave

Ehhhh. First pass might have been touched. Second pass was kind of high.

Grammer bich, use it. You might wanna know that they have injuries every year....notably the fat plug

I get it, you wanna suck off Dumars because he's a mcneese dude and he's doing mcneese a solid by inviting a player. It's pretty transparent what he's doing.

Hell do whatever to give him a spot. Hence my point, if he doesn't make it with the GM showing favoritism, then he should quit basketball. Everyone who isn't dickriding mcneese can see what you can't.

BTW, I love McNeese and attended during playing days....many in my family still in LC. Hope he sticks..point stands

You're an imbecile. There is no correlation between the pelicans draft and it being more likely this guy makes the team.

You should spend less time fantasizing about dick sucking and dick riding and more time working on your reading comprehension. I'm in no way a fan of Dumars, nor do I have any affinity or connection to Mcneese. My response was about your statement that this guy has better chance of making the pelicans based on a trade that wouldn't impact the team negatively until next year at the soonest. I'm not even defending the trade. I think it was a bad trade. It just doesn't increase Shumate's chances of making the team.
quote:

Great. But, if you can't make the Pelicans, go ahead and quit basketball.
They basically just made what many are calling the worst draft moves in the history of the draft.

Stupid post is stupid. please explain how drafting an additional lottery pick this year would make it easier for this guy or anyone to make the pelicans. I think the trade was bad but I don't see the correlation to this post. Also, the pelicans has an obscene amount of injuries last year and still only had the 4th best odds at the 1st pick. They may not be contenders but where did the opinion that they lack talent and have throw away slots come from?

I would think Shough playing hardball trying to reset 2nd round guarantees has Moore and Loomis feeling some buyers remorse on the pick. I think Rattler gets the job too.

He and close to 30 other 2nd round picks are unsigned and waiting to see what the picks in front of them get guaranteed. He hasn't missed any practice from this. I don't see why there would be any negative feelings from this situation.
quote:

I worry about some of you, I do.

So after everything that has happened today, you think it was a desperation pick? You know Carr and the Saints didnt just work this out today right? The Saints drafted Shough in the 2nd because the knew they would need a QB.

Im not saying it was a desperation pick but wouldn't it make it more likely it was if they Saints knew Carr wouldn't be back?
quote:

He’s cheap.
Hes not hamstringing the team
There wasn’t anyone else out there this year
If he works out, lagniappe. If he doesn’t, see above.

He's not cheap, he costed a 2nd round pick.

You don't take someone because there's no one else. The Saints believe in him. We'll see if it works out

If he doesn't work out that's another swing and miss on a financially cost controlled asset, for an organization that cannot continue to miss. We missed on Davenport, had to invest in Turner. Missed on Turner, had to invest in Foskey. Seems like we missed on Foskey and will have to invest again. Imagine if instead, we used those picks on contributors.

And to go a step beyond that, I DESPISE in shows when characters that aren't "supposed" to get together do. It's just unnartual and feels wrong. Barney and Robin should have never, ever gotten together and certainly not married. Same with Joey and Rachel, it just feels icky. It'd be like Shawn and Topanga getting married. It's just not natural

I dislike love triangles and despise people dating multiple people in close friend groups, especially when there's a back and forth. I never liked Barney and Robin but the show beat me over the head with it so much that watching them quickly divorce was actually a let down. I think it was because of how much time was dedicated, just prior, to them being together.
But it wasn't, and that was the problem. The last season was literally about Robin marrying Ted's best friend. That's why the ending doesn't work. There's too much negative history between Ted and Robin and fans had checked out on that relationship. I don't even like Barney and Robin together but they were the focus of entire last season, with even Ted saying that he and Robin don't work.

Similar happened to me which is why this time I passed on Graham, traded down and picked a DE in the 1st. This seems to be a strong draft for DTs but weak for CB and top heavy for DE.

Big fan if you had an early round DE but sometimes that's not how the board falls.

Quite content with my mock.

23. James Pearce Jr. EDGE Tennessee
44. Tyleik Williams DT Ohio State
54. Jonah Savaiinaea OT Arizona
71.TreVeyon Henderson RB Ohio State
87. Mason Taylor TE LSU
93. Denzel Burke CB Ohio State
112. Jonas Sanker S Virginia
124. Smael Mondon Jr. LB Georgia
184. Dont'e Thornton WR Tennessee
2026 GB 2nd
2026 DAL 3rd

Built up the trenches, some new weapons, depth for the defense with a chance to develop into starters, lottery ticket WR, and future early round picks.
Absolutely disagree. The last season is terrible. It drags on and on in a way that none of the other seasons. It is incredibly slow paced for 22 episodes and then breakneck speed for the final 2. I don't know if it was because it was singularly focused or not but I had to force myself to finish. Then, after dedicating 22 episodes to the wedding, it's undone in 5 minutes. Just a complete waste of time. I don't even mind the mom dying. I really liked Tracy and the actress did an amazing job with her limited time but that actually fits and explains why a father would take the time to in detail explain to his kids how he met their mother. There were clues dropped in the show that she was dead that people picked up on. I don't like Ted and Robin ending up together. The show goes out of it's way to show multiple times why they don't work, including a couple of episodes prior to the finale. I know there are years between the wedding and finale but because of rushed final episodes it's immediate to us as watchers. I think the finale could have been fine if they ended the show sooner but by season 9, everyone is out on Ted+Robin.

Well I was dead wrong about him getting $20 million. I’ll take the loss on that. It only takes one stupid team I guess. Terrible contract for raptors

He would have had to have gotten a foot amputated to get $20 million.
