Chase Young was much more impactful than Cam
Irrelevant. I'm not advocating for Cam to take snaps away from Young. He already played more than Cam last season and had his best season and Cam was successful in his diminished role. Having 3 capable pass rushers isn't a bad thing.

The guy from the Raiders will be playing Cams spot. It’s why they traded for him and wanted Thibodaux before him.
I didn't mean there isn't a body to play where Cam played, I meant someone capable to replacing his production. I don't believe that to be Tyree Wilson, who we traded for. Thibodaux, I would have more confidence in since he at least had a double digit sack season although his production has tanked along with the injuries.

So y'all don't have a clue what you are talking about? The guy we just trade for IS the replacement AND long term prospect
The guy we traded for is Tyree Wilson, who I listed by name in my post. He has shown nothing to indicate he is a suitable replacement for or deserving of the snaps
Cam had.

Because of Chase Young and not having to start. Old Cam was Chase Young and could play high level the whole game. When you accept that he is a diminishing asset then this will be more clear.
This doesn't make the point you think it does. Granderson played more snaps and didn't reach what Cam did despite also playing with Chase. Playing less snaps and being more effective isn't a bad thing. We don't need Cam to play more, just to do similar to what he did last season

Cam is also neither Cam's replacement or a long term prospect.
1st, Cam being Cam's replacement doesn't make sense. 2nd, Cam being a long term prospect is irrelevant to my post. I'm not looking to sign him long-term, just until there is someone capable of replacing his production on the team. That's not Chase or Granderson since they both already played alongside him and I see nothing that gives credence to it being Wilson or Rumph.

What do you see on the depth chart that makes you want to bring Cam back? We would have to spend a decent chunk of money for him to be 3rd string and take minutes from developing/ unknown players
This is a easy one. How about the fact that he lead the team in sacks and there is zero replacements or even long-term prospects on the team currently? Carl Granderson already played more snaps than Cam and didn't produce the same. The developing/unknown players you're talking about taking minutes from are Chris Rumph and Tyree Wilson.

Bain’s play style is very similar to Cam Jordan’s. Just with shorter arms.
And height and size. And possibly athleticism since Bain didn't work out at the combine. Cam is underappreciated for his athleticism for his size.

PFN is a good time waster. I like the simplistic look. Some websites are way too busy.

Bush was one of the greatest decoys ever. Teams would be so focused on stopping him that everyone else was wide open a lot of the time.
I took out a sentence about how you know Reggie wasn't worth the pick because people have to say this in order to add value to him, because my brain kept wanting to say "distraction". "Decoy" is the term I was looking for

Reggie destroyed the Cardinals in the playoffs almost single-handedly. Reggie and Pierre complemented each other nicely, neither was "more important". That said, there would have been no Super Bowl for the Saints if not for #2 draft pick Reggie Bush.
Reggie had a great game against a Cardinals team that the Saints beat by 30+. 1/3 of his yards came from a play when the Saints were already up 20. He ran with more determination that game but saying he single handedly destroyed them is quite the over exaggeration.
The Saints not making the Superbowl without Reggie is a unprovable theory but also not totally relevant to the discussion of the value of taking a RB high in the 1st. In a vacuum, Reggie was not worthy of the number 2 pick nor the money he was paid based on his on field production. He had 800 APY the Superbowl season. He made zero probowls in his career. The only reason he is given grace is because the Saints won a Superbowl.

You just gonna skip Reggie and the Super Bowl and go all the way back to Ricky?
I may be misremembering but was the more important running back on the 09 team Reggie or undrafted Pierre Thomas?

Absolutely
He's going to have an excellent media career when he hangs it up, if he wants it

Not limited to Saints Talk unfortunately. I just saw a comment on YouTube saying to keep Mickey completely away from this upcoming draft.

Didn't San Fran jump us for Foster and everyone was pissed off (likely myself included) then we drafted Ram as the fallback? I could be misremembering.
I remember Foster saying he was on the phone with us and hung up because the 49ers called and said they were trading up for him. I liked Foster's talent a lot but remember there were concerns about how he tackled and his character. If I remember correctly, his talent shown immediately but so did the other things

I'd bring him back and bring in a free agent to replace Ruiz.
We hit on Chase Young but besides that, I agree with your premise
Thank you. Most people look at the sack total when talking about Cam's HOF chances, which I get, it's the flashiest stat for Edge players, but Cam was a complete player on top of having a really high sack total. I think the only thing he didn't do was force fumbles.
