they still have a log jam. IT, Smart, Hayward, Brown, Crowder, Tatum.

Not to mention Horford is making $27 mil a year, Hayward is at $32 mil a year, and IT and Smart will be free agents. IT will probably get around $30 mil, and then what do they do about Smart as a RFA?

Crewz is now throwing out Reggie Jackson on Twitter

Asik + QPon + 1st (top 5 protected) for Jackson

Would you? I'm intrigued.

I would if it meant we got the Reggie Jackson from the end of 2014 and most of 2015.

He also threw out Asik+Moore+Cash. I would be more inclined to do that and hold on to the first for someone else (maybe Crowder?).

The other one he threw out was Asik + Moore + cash for Jackson

Reggie Jackson was pretty bad last year, and has an awful attitude and reputation. He has a SHITLOAD of money left for 3 more years that would leave us with our core being Holiday+Jackson+AD+DC and a bunch of minimum guys going forward.

Getting rid of Asik and QPon's worthless contracts is at least somewhat intriguing.

Boston had to make a move and they had to clear a certain amount of salary. I think that severely limited them on the incoming players that they could take.

I'm not sure how this move works salary wise, as Morris makes $5MM and Bradley $8.8MM. Idk how much they needed to clear, but this move clears $3.8MM for Boston and Morris is probably the best player they could've gotten in his salary range that any trade partner was willing to part ways with. Players in the salary range of $5MM-$6MM that are I'd consider tradeable look pretty bleak.

Didn't Jackson's ability to attack the basket, his main skill, fall off a cliff after a knee injury? I have full confidence in our medical staff to evaluate whether Jackson is worth a 1st or not.

By the way, Trade Machine reduces Detroits win total by 1 game with both trades, and reduces ours by 2 in the one where we give up Moore.

Yeah, I don't know. I haven't really followed Jackson other than I know he had a really bad year last year, and everyone hates him and thinks he has an awful attitude.

Seems to me McNamara is more just talking about Jackson, suggesting it. Not actually hearing anything.

Yes, his twitter indicates that this is nothing to do with information, just spitballing a take, in light of Detroit getting Bradley.

Fwiw Demps spoke of Moore during Jrue's presser like they would be part of the team this year. Things could change tho.

If it was Reggie for Asik straight up then maybe

I'd rather have so many other players than Reggie Jackson

I'd rather have Reggie the baseball HOFer than Reggie the basketball player.

5 (Morris) x 1.75 + .1 (trade matching rules) =8.85 (amount of salary that can be received for sending out Morris) > 8.80 (Bradley's salary)

Which basically means that you can trade Marcus Morris straight up for Bradley.
