Would have thought Bradley had higher value. Seems like maybe a little FU to Utah for trying to play hardball on the S&T front.

where do people come up with this? Tatum is a rookie on a team trying to get to the Finals. this aint NBA2K. he's only getting ~15mpg.

Stevens doesnt play anyone more than 34 mpg during the regular season. last year, they had 7 guys get 20 mpg or more. Brown and Rozier got 17 each as developmental guys.

other than Thomas, they have good positional versatility for most of their guys. they have no reliable bigs other than Horford, so expect tons of small ball 4 lineups. they'll find minutes for everyone. if it's a problem, they can look to flip Smart or Rozier or Crowder or Morris during the season.

That's a tough one because all three have 3 years remaining on their deals. I'll treat this as if we never see Omer on the court ever again in the NBA one way or another.

You do that deal and you are swapping Moore for Jackson and you reduce your payroll for ~$3MM/year for the next three years.

When you look at it that way it isn't so bad, but I'm not a fan of Reggie at all. He at least has much more potential than Moore, but he needs a serious attitudinal adjustment.

Reggie (16) + 5 (trade rules) = 21 > ~19 (Asik + Moore)

So, it works.

Cash isn't considered in salary cap calculation for trades.

The attitude is what concerns me. Locker room and court presence/leadership is a huge intangible. At least we know there isn't any presence to worry about with Omer

And his contract would still be really hard to move in case we really need to clear space.

so lets just say in terms of minutes you straight up replace Avery Bradley with Gordon Hayward. Even though Hayward will play more minutes per game than Bradley did. You have just added Jayson Tatum. So where does he get minutes when Jaylen Brown deserves more?

Hence. Log jam.

I don't want Jackson. It could work, but I would much rather Lin. No way am I giving a 1st for Jackson. I would maybe consider it if we weren't giving up a 1st, and were able to dump Asik with the only 'price' being that we have to give up Moore.

Both Tatum and Crowder can play some small ball 4.

Same boat here. Jackson's contract is not good and he had a bad year. Not giving up a first for him, even to move Asik.

I would also rather Lin.

If you can do Asik and a first for Lin, I'm on board.

dn't Jackson's ability to attack the basket, his main skill, fall off a cliff after a knee injury? I have full confidence in our medical staff to evaluate whether Jackson is worth a 1st or not.

Sounds like we are trying to get the league to compensate us for pistons with holding medical info and sliding us some 1st rounders and cash.

Jackson is not the route we want to take.

I'm still really hoping the Lin rumors pan out. That would be a solid signing for us.

Enough to come up with an extra 10-15 minutes a game?

Look my whole point is that Boston still needs to get rid of someone in their back court. They need to make those decisions on who they want. Because if they don't, the market will decide for them or they will have to trade away a solid player in Avery Bradley for less than his value

Agreed. The only way I do it is if I hang on to the first rounder to then flip for another solid starter.

I just love when people reply w/o reading entire posts....

they lost 55 front court minutes from last year. they have multiple guys who can slide into multiple spots 1-4. their roster is basically positionless

Bradley played 33mpg. Stevens has played no one above 34 (34.2 for Jeff Green) since his first year in Boston.

this line of thought seems more like desperate Pels fans hoping Ainge will send them Crowder or Smart b/c of some imaginary minutes crunch.

maybe it happens, maybe Boston ships out a player or two due to that, but I dont see it right now

Boston got what they needed with the Bradley trade. I doubt they trade any other guys unless they get much better value in return.
