Will be very interesting to see what the dollar figure is on this one. Remember New York traded him for Jerian Grant lol

Bazemore has to be VERY gettable now if Atlanta doesn't match (which seems likely). Asik + Qpon for Bazemore saves Atlanta a decent chunk of change.
That would be a no brainer on the Pels part if we don't think the tax would be an issue in a few years (or if we didn't care about the tax). Unfortunately, that's not the case.

Knicks' offer sheet to Tim Hardaway Jr. is $71M-plus and has final year salary of nearly $19M. Hawks have 2 days to decide whether to match.

New York will need to renounce the $29.7M FA cap hold of Derrick Rose to sign Tim Hardaway Jr. with room.

Tim Hardaway Jr. was traded for Jerian Grant who was traded for Derrick Rose who was renounced so NYK could sign Hardaway Jr. for $71M.

Here’s a surprise. Last season on jumpshots:
Hayward: 49.2 eFG
Crowder: 53.3

Does Tim Hardaway, Jr.'s contract make Asik's look better, worse, or the same?
Posted on 7/7/17 at 4:39 am to BallHawk
Tim Hardaway may be a bit overpaid.. but he's far from a scrub. really good offensive player

Yeah, the Kings are building one of the stranger rosters in the league. All those young guys and then add Z-Bo, Hill, and VC for tons of $$$. I guess they want them as mentors, but it just seems like really odd roster construction.
Posted on 7/7/17 at 6:33 am to NOFOX
Yeah, but I mean who else will they get to come there? They need adults on that team plus Hill and Randolph are essentially for two years and Carter for one, so it doesn't hurt them long term. I like what Sacramento has done.
Posted on 7/7/17 at 6:47 am to NOFOX
it's even weirder b/c they lose their pick in 2019
