Bleacher report trying to breathe life into a Boogie for K Love trade. They never fail to reassure me of their clickbait status.

I'm not really into sending out Etwaun for that previous deal, we need him.

They make Crowder play PF, while we make Moore play SF. Both are out of position. I don't think we need Etwaun as much as others despite his shooting and am willing to part with him, but I agree that I don't think we can trade him for a new piece at this point in the season unless it is for a major upgrade.

But we do need to balance our roster and Crowder is not happy in CLE. He is going to resent being sent to the bench for TT and I think the Cavs end up not driving a hard bargain on him.

I wonder what type of assets would it require to turn Anjiica/Cunningham into Skal/Crowder? That adds approximately $800k, so not sure if we can fit that in under the hard cap or not, but i know that it is really close.

Wow! Gilbert should have put that team up for sale the day after they won the title. Books are a mess and Bron is possibly gone? Think how much less valuable that team is now...

Yeah, Dolan and Vivek still own NBA teams. Hell, Gilbert is not even the worst owner in Cleveland.

I would think he, and anyone else, would have a hard time getting that impression from the Pelicans at any point in their history.

I have followed bad teams long enough to know that guys who do well out of nowhere on bad teams just become another guy eventually and that a smart team would sell high.

Fans get all excited because the guy plays hard and exceeds expectations and then they start thinking he can be a real piece once the team gets good. He rarely ever is. Dinwiddie will become another Vasquez, or Lee Nailon, or Belinelli.

Or more likely, how I see it playing out - Jordan Clarkson. He comes out of nowhere and then you have two choices: Let him go for nothing or overpay him.

If Brooklyn is smart, they sell now

the cavs take in that trade:

nets pick, falling out of top 5
IT, hurt, now causing shite and killing their D
crowder, terrible & now benched
zizic, nailed to the bench

what a haul

constant Celtics cheerleading online is annoying, but, goddamn, Danny Ainge pulled off a great deal there and sliding down for Tatum

Sounds like Skal would fit in well with the Pels bigs. A 7 footer that doesn't want to play inside.

9. Skal Labissiere, facing up

The Kings have thankfully cut Labissiere's post touches per possession in half since Dec. 1, per Second Spectrum data. We're seeing less of Labissiere flinging hopeless jump hooks over bigger dudes he can't dislodge, and more of this:

He's even canned a few 3s lately. As long as they're tanking, the Kings should let Labissiere develop his face-up game against real NBA competition. He has soft touch and some fledgling feel for the game. Force-feed him some playmaking chances, and let him stretch those skills.

There have been rumblings the Kings might dump Labissiere to free up a roster spot so they absorb extra contracts from Cleveland in the percolating George Hill deal. If that's true, a smart team will buy low on Labissiere.

It would be great if we could be the third team with Kings/Cavs trade and we get Skal and Crowder. pie in the sky though.

I can see how we could get Skal, but how could we get Crowder without involving a 4th team?

no clue. that's why i said pie in the sky.
I seriously doubt the cavs want Asik in return, but if they are unloading Shumpert/JR/Crowder and taking back Asik/Hill.

Are they giving the kings their pick or the Brooklyn pick?
what if they give them the Brooklyn pick and we give the Cavs our pick, maybe Kings get Diallo too. Salaries work out with those 3 teams.

Without a 4th team you'd have to pay Sac to take Asik. But I don't think the 4th team is as hard to find as you might think. You need to find a team that was similarly high on Diallo. It looks like Diallo had predraft workouts for Atlanta, Phoenix, and Indy.

Phoenix and Indy both have the cap space to take on Diallo/Allen and can manufacture the roster spots by cutting a minimum guy and resigning him after cutting Allen. Indy doesn't have a 2018 2nd though which I assume is needed to pay Sac for taking Ajinca. Maybe a 2019 2nd and cash would work. Atlanta lacks the cap space to be the 4th team unless they made some trades 1st.

Get one of Phoenix/Indy to take Diallo/Allen for a 2nd and you're pretty close to turning Diallo/Ajinca into Crowder/Skal which seems like voodoo.
