Let me fall in with the thinking on this board, get Dinwiddie (even though the Nets have no reason whatsoever to trade him). He's young, productive, and on a cheap contract. The Nets are collecting young players after loosing all of their recent picks. Why would they trade him? Why does anyone think they would?

They'd trade for the same exact reason Chicago would trade Grant. They aren't part of their long term plan so why not get something in return for them, and neither of them plan on winning anything next year.

I'd be very happy with either of those two guys.

Nope. Have never ventured off of Pels talk. Haven't even been to the MSB.

Come on dude. Dont be such a prick.

Sure the Bulls want to trade Mirotic but why would they take Asik back in that deal? The first rounder basically would be in exchange for dumping asik on their hands, so they give up Mirotic and Grant for 3 guys who do almost nothing. They might not get a lotto pick for him but they could get much more value than Asik + trash.

I love the Nets trade proposed. It sures up our bench while giving us a potential starter. And it’s not that Dinwiddie is some savior. But he’s a young player that’s decent on both ends of the floor at a position we need some help with making the same money as Diallo.

I don’t think Chicago trade will happen for us. They very much value Mirotic and we don’t have the pieces. I hope Demps proves me wrong.

The other trade I’m down for is something for Ilyasova or Dedmon. Ajinca, Diallo, 2nd for Ilyasova I think is beneficial for both sides

Bobby Marks? @BobbyMarks42

The strong consensus from teams is that there is a hesitancy to move 1st round picks for a quick fix. Tax/roster restrictions this summer will have teams relying heavily on the Draft.

Hopefully Dell follows Bobby on twitter.

I would imagine you could buy those picks very easily if you wanted it.

but here's the problem as i said before:
Problem is that roster has 11 players, and it's at $126M, which will be in the tax by about $3M or $4M. You'd have to find some cap relief by trading Carrol/Solo/Moore just to fill the roster out and stay under the tax, and it would be stupid to go into the tax for a rental of Carroll.

I have seen it consistently mentioned all season by respected NBA insiders that teams are very reluctant to part with 1sts this year. Mroe so than past years. A lot are speculating a quiet trade deadline because of it. Plays to our benefit.

One thing to keep in mind in a potential George Hill trade to Cleveland is the huge financial cost. The trade will cost Cleveland at a minimum $20M (2017-18 to 2019-20) and see their luxury tax this season increase from $43M to $52M.

Pels have only $2.6 millions Cash left.
They can use it to buy a late 2nd or send cash with a contract to other team. For a fake second.

Like they received with Stokes from MIA. They send fake second and received cash to buy him out.
Maybe Riley will help Pels this time?

I remember reading around the draft that the Pels were interested in Skal. If he's someone the Kings are looking to dump I could see some sort of 3 way where we send Diallo to a 3rd team (hopefully with Ajinca) who sends an asset to Sac. If no asset is needed and this is a straight dump then they can cut someone like Liggins/Allen/Nelson.

I could see us involved in the George Hill trade where we end up with Skal and Crowder.

How the heck could we take on that salary without sending out Asik/Ajinca?

Send out Moore & Diallo. Or we can try to pay SAC $ and picks to eat Asik.

I have no idea how we would pull that off but I think Crowder would be huge for us. Skal could also play some 3rd big minutes.

There is a 3rd way

NOLA - Crowder/Skal
CLE - Hill
SAC - Shumpert/Ajinca/2nd (Cle)/2nd (4th team)
4th - Diallo/Allen

I feel like the Pels win this trade which should never happen as a facilitator, but both primaries are dysfunctional and desperate. Roster spots and cap space are pretty limited league wide right now, so a team with cap like Phoenix would need to cut someone to take both Diallo/Allen.

I'm not really into sending out Etwaun for that previous deal, we need him.

Your deal would be great but too complicated to be reality.
