Yeah, I have never understood the interest in WCJ as a starting center with his injury history. Look at Larry, even the back up being unreliable can be troublesome.

Just because we haven't heard mentions doesn't mean that we aren't after someone. And of course, I think Griff is still calling the Cavs to see if they won't change their mind on dealing Allen. I can still see Ayton as a possibility.
Bust, yes, I agree that WCJ is most likely our starting center next season.

Is Nic Claxon that good defensively that doubling down on defense and making the offense THAT much worse a winning proposition? We're going to start winning games 84-83 with him all of sudden? Just not seeing it.
Why would we not want WCJ as a starter? He can play defense, get rebounds and shoot outside the perimeter. Sure he has some flaws, but is only getting paid around 12.5 million a year. His last injury was a fluke hand injury.

I don’t know what the infatuation is with really old guards on here. I remember majority of the board wanted to pay Kyle Lowery a max salary on here and I said Griff was an idiot for pursuing that. I get that’s it’s Steph but I rather pass for what they will want in return.

Steph is still a 40% high volume 3pt shooter that creates his own shot. Even at 36. The attention he commands is insane. Him and Zion on the court with Murray taking the load off of them? That's a big 3 that can make a finals run. It's an all in move for sure, and yeah, probably won't have to give up trey, but I wouldn't bat an eye at losing ingram and cj for steph.

With True Center targets potentially dwindling, I’m calling Houston back up and trying to get Jabari Smith Jr (I don’t think Sengun is attainable. I’d like to get Eason back as well, but I’m unsure if they would be willing to part with 2 of their bigs. They still have plenty of picks and other young pieces to add to the deal to sweeten it. But JSJ would be the centerpiece.

Running JSJ at Center would be terrible for defensive purposes. He would not hold up well physically nor defend at an average level in our division let alone the League. He's still too light in the arse to assume this role.

He’d be just fine at center for us and we’d be extremely difficult for anyone to match up against us on offense.
If Zion can handle the really big 5s and JSJ the smaller ones, we’d be fine.
