Jordan Rodgers: LSU-Ole Miss Is A ‘Must-Win’ For Lane Kiffin’s Ego

ESPN analyst Jordan Rodgers believes Saturday’s showdown against Ole Miss means a little more to LSU head coach Lane Kiffin on a personal level.

During Wednesday’s edition of 'Get Up,' Rodgers called the matchup a “must-win” for Kiffin’s ego as he prepares to return to Oxford for the first time as LSU’s head coach.

“I think it’s a ‘must-win’ for Lane’s ego,” Rodgers said. “He really wants it. I think it means a lot to him.”

Rodgers added, however, that LSU’s season will ultimately be judged by much bigger goals.

“But this LSU football team is going to be judged by whether they make the College Football Playoff or not,” Rodgers said. “That’s why he was brought here. To get them to Playoff, to get them to a national championship. So in the grand scheme of things, this game matters. But it’s not a be-all, end-all.”
