It's also the kind of firsts being offered. A first next year from New Orleans or Phoenix isn't worth nearly as much as a first from Washington or Portland.

I'd rather sign Robinson, Biyombo and Reed and just try to piece together a front court than give up 2 picks for Walker Kessler.

You make the right deal, never out of desperation.
Piece together a Front Court by committee, or look elsewhere, maybe Detroit or Orlando for a big.
Revisit BI down the road and see if you get a legit C. C is by far the easiest position in the modern game to cover up.
Don't give up 2 damn 1st rounders for Walker Kessler.

Guys I hate to break it to you but OUR 1sts are barely worth a 1st lol...
Y'all are really overvaluing our own future draft picks, while having high expectations for our team.
Ainge is aware those picks will be mid 20's at best. He's also aware that he would be literally giving us a player that lowers the value of those same picks..
That's not including the fact that we added Murray and still have BI.

Kessler's value is higher this year than it would have been in the past, because his play so greatly exceeds his $2 million salary. And the new CBA makes that fact matter more.

You can't say stuff like this and then be upset our only backup plan is a #21 project.
Our future picks hopefully will be #28/ #30 range.
So we have 0 trust in the center we picked at #21 but knowingly wont give up (2) picks that will be worse value than our current pick?

But i bet if we traded him for pick #31/ #32 (2 2nds) fans would be ecstatic about the value...

There is some truth to this. If we could get him for a 1st, then he probably isn't very good. Great talent is going to cost alot (especially on a rookie contract). We have to be willing to lose the trade and overpay at times..

For sure they have Stewart, Duran, Tobias and now Reed at the 4 and 5. Holland I’m guessing more as a 3 with Thompson. Makes sense and doesn’t really put them so flush they need to move someone unfortunately.

That one is complete speculation based on Langdon's ties to the Pels, but didn't it come out that Langdon is not an Ingram fan and wanted to trade him last year?

Langdon wanting to trade BI could have been “not a fan of him” or “not a fan of his fit on the Pels”.
