Willingness to resign him wasn’t the problem. He wasn’t happy here for a variety of reasons and I don’t think any amount of money fixes that.

I think he liked it a lot at one point. I don’t think he liked getting benched for Namce routinely though.
We are going to miss him. He basically never missed games and was a very good regular season center. Helped us win a lot of games when Ingram and/or Zion were out of the rotation.

Oddly enough JSJ would fit perfectly into the Jonas TPE.
Al Horford would be another one but he may just retire if Boston trades him.
From there you get into guys like Kenrich Williams, Jalen Mcdaniels, Nick Richards etc

I’m sure that deal must be one year guaranteed, one year with a minimal guarantee, one year non-guaranteed, in order to meet the sign and trade reqs.

One thing I didn’t think about, we can claim Paul Reed off waivers and take him into the Jonas TPE, don’t even have to wait to try to sign him.
