Got to love these fake Pels reporters "confirming" reports from other reporters as if fans weren't believing anything until it is confirmed by them.

I honestly don’t know how they will fit BI into the rotation with Murray here now. They pretty much have to trade BI and the league knows it.

Funny that the Hornets got one of our 2nds to take back Graham. So, they got Mark Williams and a 2nd from us for Graham. What a trade!

Griff is probably asking Atlanta to give him until the end of July to work out the BI situation

With all of these leaks of teams seemingly interested, it sounds more like he is trying to artificially boost the BI market because no one is willing to give up anything of real value for a dude who is more of a two or three on a title team, but expects to be played and paid like a one.

I love how they include a picture of Graham in the tweet even though he was waived.

He has to have SOMETHING

The Murray trade can’t be completed as is, Pels have to send out around 3-4 million more in salary, and the Jonas trade was the perfect get around by tying them all together. Since that didn’t happen and they opted for the TPE instead either Griff has a team he has an ok deal with and is trying to find another team to get other players or to take a little salary, or he and the Hawks have a potential amended deal they are both comfortable with that has BI going to Atlanta if needed.

He probably has something, but something where we are giving away BI 1 cent on the dollar, which is why we've seen the leaks kick into overdrive over the last week and a half in hopes of landing something better, I just don't see it happening though.

Like I think we need to be honest with ourselves on what we can realistically land in a BI trade. I can't imagine many teams are lining up to trade for a guy who they are either letting walk after a season or are begrudgingly giving a max deal to.

I think some posters here are being honest but the real question is can Griff be honest with himself? I don’t know if he can.

I really think we are just in a perfect storm where this new CBA has teams thinking twice about throwing around 30-35% max deals to guys and players haven’t adjusted to it yet.

I even think soon you will see teams start to shy away from giving the 25% rookie max extension to guys that aren’t worth it without protections built in for the team.

2 years ago even with his play last season teams would be lining up to trade for BI, that’s not the reality in the new NBA though.

Griff should ask for Mark Williams and the TPE and just call it a lesson learned about trading a guy a year to late.

Has Naji been finalized? He could wrap him in as well if needed (and if not yet finalized).

Now that you say that I don’t think he has

They announced the Grimes deal but haven’t announced Naji yet, so may be working a S&T behind the scenes on that

We have about a $5m TPE from Kira and now a $10m TPE from JV.

Any potential targets fit in those besides Kessler? Paul Reed would have fit into the JV one if he weren’t waived.

Looney and Jock Landale would fit into the 9.8 TPE and are both guys Warriors and Rockets may give for free. Trey Lyles also if it helps a DD S&T

Other than them I don’t see much of anything else, but we could also do a sign and trade into them

WCJ from Orlando. Stewart from Detroit I think.

Stewart is at $15m and WCJ is at $11.9m. Can’t combine the TPEs and the Jonas one is only enough for WCJ if his deal is front loaded.

Neither one fits, you cannot combine TPE’s

Yikes. Man I feel like this team will regret not resigning JV. I know JV isn’t perfect but he wouldn’t have been expensive to resign at all.
