That's where we'll agree to disagree.

With ZIon and Trey, you have two ball dependent players already.

Luckily that chart a few posts show how efficient they are. What you need is people ready to C&S from the three point line.

Not saying CJ cant do that, its just almost always better for Trey to take that shot.

CJ catch and shoot: 42.9%

Trey: 37.8%

CJ catch and shoot was really good last year. Hard to argue.

I guess this decision is up to Willie- I mean no way Willie could mess up the rotations right lol.

I really hope Borrego gets more control of rotations moving forward next year.

Trey was almost 41% the year before that on more volume and again this comes back to who will be on the team 3 years from now. It wont be CJ.

He has also changed his game completely to fit the team.

You mean we played more games this year with him as the third option for the first time in his career and he wasn’t responsible for creating nearly as much.

Then any talk about caring about winning over starting is horse shite, which usually is agree, but they don’t seem disingenuous. I do wear pelicans tinted glasses though, wife hates them

What does ball dependent mean to you?
Trey has 81% of his FG's assisted on. I don't know what you are calling ball dependent, but i'm sure that isn't it.

That's interesting.

I've always thought the team trading the player has to pay the kicker.

Have there been any instances where that isn't true?

I would argue Trey is the better defender due to his length and athleticism

Trey is clearly a better defender than CJ.

We need to trade for Jarrett Allen and be done with it.

Atlanta does have to pay the kicker, the kicker applies to Pels cap sheet though.

CJ is better at it, but mainly, CJ did well in the role as the 3rd guy when Zion and BI played.

The issue is when he's asked to be the lead guy. Hopefully Murray brings that health over BI and that added stability, and if CJ can accept a bench role, that allows CJ to lead the bench(which is a great thing) but also to be the off balll C&S guy when playing with starters.

Sure, but there's legit no reason for the Kings to trade for BI if they're not adding him to the Fox/Sabonis combo.

Trey is the opposite of ball dependent.

I would like to see CJ lead the 2nd unit as well. I’ll concede I think I have taken a lot of my frustration with Zion always getting injured out on CJ. I love Zion and have never considered giving up on him but dude could not have picked a more heartbreaking time to get injured this season, 40 bomb against the lakers and gets injured with 2 minutes left, out for playoffs. All in a game we should have never been playing
